Excellent! As an older guitarist 61, sweep picking was not even on the radar in my early days of chop building. I find your instruction quite helpful 😊

I’ve played for over 40 years. It wasn’t until finding Bernth & his sweep picking course that I was able to learn how. They’re still a work in progress, but I can do 3, 4, 5 & 6 string patterns now. Something I never thought possible 5 years ago. His system worked for me.

Please add timestamps in your guitar lesson videos. It is much easier to go to the start of the exercises while practicing

Awesome workout! Although I am already semi-good at sweep picking, this helped me a lot with timing and keeping up with the tempo!

It really messes me up when changing direction without double picking the top/bottom string of the shape. I can’t seem to get my pick out of the way without either slowing down or picking the end string twice by accident.

What about when you skip a string or more? What about sweep picking all the strings of a 10-string?

I think alternate picking arpeggios sounds way more melodic! Eventually you will see more and more guitarists creating tracks with less sweeping and more melodic alternate picking arrangements. Also to get tight warp speed sweeping arpeggios with clarity you need pro level modeler with lots of DSP power that impowers practically zero latency like a Fractal or Kemper or some of the plug software amps.

Hey Bernth, How do you sweep pick on acoustic guitar because it is so hard to play legato notes on acoustic guitar??

I remember trying to do the learn it slow then speed it up method for scale runs or licks, that really just doesn't work for sweep picking. Slow, good. Fast, good. Medium? Medium-fast? NOPE! First time doing the 5 string major/minor pattern right felt like unlocking a new game mode!
