Hello, I really thank you. I am Syrian and i try to learn my origins language. I am proud of it ! I enjoy a lot discovering the original meaning of the words and i help french friends understand how other languages derived from aramaic, our mother language. I tried to have private lessons but they told me at church they only take kids. I'm 47. God bless you🙏🙏🙏🙏 please continue!

Dear Ssroy, I am Assyrian from Iran, so I speak in eastern Assyrian dialect. I like the way you teach this language and appreciate your efforts in teaching our language. I just need you to help me with one word that is ܥܪܒܐ . In our pronunciation its irba not irva . In addition if b is hoing to be pronounced as v the letter before it, ܪ must have vowel like ptakha or zghapa. If there is some other reasons for this, please let me know. Wish you good luck in teaching our sweet language.

I think the one you spelled is irba, and irva is like this: ܥܪܒ݂ܐ

Is there a way to know which syllable is accented? Is it usually the last syllable? For example, could you tell which word has the syllable accented based on which long/short ah or eh sounds it has? (Hopefully that makes sense.)
