I'm sorry, but I dont feel like you really covered the "stages of grief for 0-3 months". Since I am currently at EXACTLY 1 month, I will cover it. I am STILL in shock. I cry every single day. Sometimes, ALL DAY and sometimes only when triggered by a memory which is every time I drive down a street where me and my son used to go, every store we shopped at, seeing the swimming pool outside my apartment, hearing a siren or seeing their flashing lights.... I can eat now, but sometimes have little appetite and sometimes eat too much. Sleep is eradic. Sometimes I literally just crash but wake up at 2 am and cannot get back to sleep. I joined Grief Share the day after my son's memorial service and that has helped to have someone who listens and validates my feelings. Major decisions are extremely hard for me. I can't seem to focus for very long. I get angry, withdraw, get overwhelmed. In this month, I had to "celebrate" Thanksgiving, my sister's 60 th birthday, and now my birthday. Christmas is almost here and I don't know what happened after Halloween. (He died Nov 8) I also lost my pet 3 days after my son and the other pet, 3 months before my son. Now I'm having to adopt HIS pets. I can't sleep in my own bed, probably because the night it happened I had left my phone in the livingroom and nearly missed "the call". I watched them administrator CPR at the hospital and watched my 29 year old son's heart stop for the last time. I dont know if I'm suffering " only" grief or PTSD as well. Basically the first 0-3 months is pure hell and I wanted you to adequately describe that.

I don't disagree with you that it is very hard and can be described as hell for alot of people. I hope you are finding helpful tools for your grief recovery journey.

These little videos are almost an insult to the enormity of what’s felt immediately after a loss. This is the unique time when the pain of grief is most acutely absorbed and mourners are most desperately searching for answers. Most people have never been here before. All of this is brand new and indescribably raw. I really wish that we would take our time and be extra sensitive in these special life seasons.

I don't mean to minimize or trivialize what everyone is going through, that being said I also understand that when you are in the beginning stages of grief most people don't have much of an attention span and can't retain big chunks of information....hence the short videos. My goal is to provide small helpful nuggets to people who are overwhelmed with grief.

I lost my Mother a month ago. After a sudden massive heart attack. I was supporting her in hospital when she was receiving treatment. It all happened so quickly as I had to come over and leave everything I was doing even my music projects I was so enthusiastic about. Sadly she passed away two weeks after due to complications. My body is still in shock. I was experiencing palpitations at night time and staying in her dwelling all alone. Palpitations have settled but now I have headaches and bodyaches and unable to exercise as I used to because of low energy. The only exercise I do is walking. I have been dealing with her affairs since her passing and it's been stressful. My body is feeling the effects now as everything happened so quickly. I hope to feel better in the coming months. And I hope grief doesn't make me give up on my dreams I was working on. I've also come to the realisation that both my parents are gone and have not settled to have a family of my own.

Have to say …. Losing my hubby after 30+ years of harmonious living … is definitely one of my worst experiences yet - and I have lived through wars and other horrors. This is something you would not even wish on your worst enemy. It’s very painful and very very tough to face however I do have wonderful friends that really are amazing.

Before I get too involved in your videos, what is your grief experience? I have lost my father and just six weeks ago, my wife of 20 years from heart disease. She was 48 years old and healthy.

Hey there. I'm so sorry for your losses. I lost my mom to suicide and then a year and a half later I lost my son to an accidental overdose. During my grief I studied alot about neuroscience and developed tools that helped me to recover. I now help others recover with what I've learned. I hope you find the channel a source of hope and help.
