0:48 I think the phrase "to go ballistic" comes from aircraft control. If the pilot loses control, the aircraft is only driven by gravity, and you can say it goes ballistic. If a person loses self-control, they are only driven by their emotion, they also kind of "go ballistic". Both situations often lead to disaster. Again, I knew the science, but it came as a surprise to me that you use this phrase in this way. Thanks for this suprise. 👍

Hello Bob, I am from Bangladesh and trying to learn English. My husband found your channel and it really helped me to learn this language especially daily phrases. I taught there is only a slim chance to learn English but now I am confident enough. The funny thing is that like "snowbird" we have the phrase "winter bird" and the meaning is almost the same. Bless you.

I always love watching those pretty sceneries when you take me to walk around the place where you live with your smartphone but I prefer to know Cnadian culture by learning your classes. By the way never think about future more except doing your best for everything and anyone since now because all of thoughts will come true after we think. I mean people think that they can change the World with their hands but it's wrong that everything is inside, our mind! So look after it as your eyes and then it becomes as pure as mirror and gives you nothing except peace forever…

If a piston engine is firing on all cylinders, it means that fuel ignites and burns correctly in each of its cylinders. Otherwise, for example, if one cylinder doesn't work, the engine can run, but it makes a low effect. The same with people. Are you folks firing on all cylinders today? Hope you are 😎

0:46 Or « To run AMOK » 😅🇺🇸 « Incontrôlable » 😱🇫🇷 Amok, or running amok, is derived from the Malay word mengamok, which means to make a furious and desperate charge. 😊 We often use this phrase in video games or movies/cartoons/animes/comics, the best example is HULK, he’s always running Amok !!! 😂👍
