golabki are my ABSOLUTE favorites! My dad usually makes it with (mostly) rice, (not a lot of) meat, and (very little) mushrooms! I love polish food over any other!

Dziękuję bardzo ! I love zupa buraczkowa especially the Barszcz ukraiński style which is my favorite , zupa ogorkowa, zurek soup, pierogi so many wonderful dishes I’m big on soups it doesn’t matter what time of year hot or cold I love zupa !

In English, barszcz has a 't' and is pronounced /bor-sht/. Gołąbki in English are called "pigs in a blanket" (but hot dogs wrapped in pastry are also called that, so it can be confusing. Gołąbki are also called galuskies sometimes in English. Some of my favorite Polish foods are zupa grzybowa, kaszanka, placki ziemnaczanie, kopytki, and nalisniki (I like Polish food!).

Gołabki is different to pigs in blankets as those are sausages wrapped in bacon and gołabki is mince and rice wrapped in a cabbage leaf

You are right about pirogies, there is nothing Russian about them. The word “ruskie “ meant Ukrainian centuries ago, before Moskovia ( modern Russia ) stole from Ukrain history and name itself
