LittleDyke It's not new, you will actually see it in very old Russian documents. It's just another way of writing the letter "L".

" Ты делаешь меня счастливым" if the person, who's saying the phrase is a men, "Ты делаешь меня счастливой" if it's a woman, doesn't matter who you're talking to. You can also say " Я счастлив( or счастлива if again the one who's saying it is female) с тобой " , which means "I am happy being with you"

That could be a nice lesson. But nobody speaks in Russia : " я была восторженная" - I was excited. You should realize that mechanical substitutions of the words cannot help! Common Russian equivalent of - I was excited - is " Я была в восторге!" , but if you decide translate it word by word you will get - I was in excitement- which sounds strange in English. Everyone who studies a foreign language should realize that he studies new way of thinking, new way of building language with new structures and new grammar! So, I would advise to learn essential phrases in context with real books and movies. As soon as you say " я была восторженная" - everybody will realize that you are a foreigner. That is what happens with this girl, I am sure in her normal life she never speaks some of the phrases that she teaches here.
