Dear Rabbi, this teaching reminded me of something my Great-grandmother said to me once. She was planning to take a trip to Florida from Georgia and started to plan what she would take on her trip around 2 weeks before. Me in my youth didn’t understand this, so I asked why she was doing this so early that she had plenty of time to pack. Her response was “my darling girl the planning is half the fun”. Thank God she imparted that wisdom to me because that enabled me to do away for the most part impulse decision. She was such a wise woman who lived to 98 years old and I still miss her so still today. 🙏

The flesh lusts aganst the spirit, and the spirit lusts aganst the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so you do not do the things that you wish. Galatians 5: 17 The talk reminded me of this.

The human condition has baffled me my whole life, love, the loss of it, family deaths, decisions, success, failure, the drama and idiosyncracies that drive me crazy, my own and others, I'm single, I've given up codependency, that's cuts out much drama, loneliness passes, I have enough trouble with my own psyche, I can't do that dance ever again. I wish others good luck. 🙏

I'm constantly having a battle within myself, and I've not heard of this "two within us" , survival/transcending voice. Growing up I was taught, well you know the difference between right/wrong. I suppose in a sense that was like the battle that is in us in a rough sense. Not that either survival/transcending voice is right or wrong, but I think at a young age i was taught there is a choice I have to make within myself. So what your saying as I understand it, the "two souls battle it out over everyday events, whether its choosing to get up and go to work, or stay in bed and listen to the dogs barking we all have this battle/choice to make on a daily. I try to hand the reins to the calmer soul within myself. I do this more as I get older, but in todays world its much harder to accomplish this task. It is a task, because my survival soul wants to reach out and bitch slap some ppl for not taking care of kids the right way, or cleaning up better, or holding that job longer, or caring enough for the individuals in their lives that care about them. I know they must have their own battle going on, but the ones that can control and be in control of those emotions and that survival soul, can be the ones making more strides in their life, and begin to reach that top rung of that preverbal ladder! Thank you for your words, they are encouraging. I like your channel. I'm not any religion, but have my own beliefs. No disrespect, I do listen your words.

Too many people hide their real selves to be politically correct. Which I use to think was fine as those were the examples I seen in white homes. You know? Growing up in poverty allows you to search for other means of inspiration. When the parental guardian moved us out the ghetto it was a complete culture shock. I've never seen so many whites in my life. I also knew I had to adapt, but feared losing the core of who I am. Studied a lot of people during those years, especially my neighbors. And let's just say although they were more privileged, I love who I became. For they still struggle with identity. Nope. Not me. I know who I am, and who I belong too. Which is the God of Abraham, Issac , and Jacob. Shalom

The Bible has a lot to say on this subject. In it, it is characterized as the fight between the the flesh and the spirit St Paul illuminates the subject very well in several of his letters to various Christian communities Galatians 5, Romans 6, Romans 8 and many more for those who are interested. I thank you Rabbi.

Competition is a comparitive act, Emotions that are not in tact, It says I can do it better than you, But some people just do what they do, They don't need to be like everyone else, They are content just being themself, Some people don't play games of the mind, What we seek is what we find,

Will, Knowledge and Action. From what I've seen here, I'm convinced this 3FOLD structure is known to you. It fits beautifully with the SCALE-of-MAN as taught in this clip and I'm hoping to encourage you to do a segment on this 3fold structure.

I agree with you, Mr Rabbi. There is you-spirit and there is the body manifest... I am sure you know that Elohim is a plural word. I personally think we have 3 gods- and we have integrated all aspects of their essence into us- simply because that is what makes us who we are - we are a fusion of essences of the 3 gods.

Like that cow.. whom is content and blissful... with its world it lives in. It has no technology to world about and no worries for the most part. We can see similar in communities around the world.. such as the more "3rd world" communities.. many people in those areas have very little and lack many of our modern technologies and comforts.. however, in those places...those people often live very happy and content lives although their lives are filled with pain, suffering and other struggles. My family on my mothers side were homesteaders in North Dakota. Growing up they lived in what we would consider a garden shack. The front porch was a flat bed off the farm truck.. that they would remove from the truck when not hauling hay and other things. They had no running water.. and no luxuries as we have today. But they were happy.

My take is that the earthly self is an organic robot ( for want of a better term ) controlled/piloted by what we call a soul elsewhere... all would be good except for the fact that the organic robot can also be controlled by others via the physical world - which is detrimental when i consider that the connection is bidirectional and the manipulation of the organic robot can also manipulate the soul... the how of manipulation isn't hard to work out - but the who and why ? That is the only answer that matters.

Very true, Spirit voice and the IG or ego are always going at it. When you learn to identify the spirit voice and surrender to it your life improves greatly. The objective is to identify the voices inside of your head and trust them. 😂 I will tell you one secret, the thoughts look like electrical people who move at lightning speed. They are aggressive but powerless and are always trying to control your single-thought space. Be blessed and be in joy. The secret is strong desire and daily practice
