Man i went through the same thing almost 2 months ago, you just gotta learn from all those mistakes, and forgive yourself, its ok to cry, but live in the present, the past will give you depression, and the future anxiety, im doing pretty well now recognizing that everyone has went through these things to build a better person, prove yourself that you are actually strong enough to grow, you cant waste this opportunity, remember to look out to family members and close friend for help and company, love its still being present in your life with the people you know they love you, but the best form of love is self love/care, i like to describe it as a fire inside of you that is alive when you kinda admire yourself and fall in love with yourself and the good things you have done and the massive potential you have, stay standing with your head up, it will get better, just dont rush, live one day at a time, one step everyday, even if its a small step, its worth it.

mine was 4 years dude all the way from ages 16-20, yes i smoke weed but i have a medical card for it for other physical reasons. stop relying on substances to cope with your problems. and i mean this in the most respectful way possible but 5 months is not that much time man. i just came back from a rock concert and you know what my high was? my high was getting in those fucking mosh pits and screaming my lungs out because i just lost my girlfriend of 4 years.

You’ll learn with experience man but that’s a canon event for every guy, if she’s not putting in even a similar level of effort to what you’re putting in, if she doesn’t try to keep the conversation going or learn anything about you, if she’s dry and seems disinterested I suggest you move on man, she may not be interested or she may be stringing you along as a backup if she leaves you hopefully once in a blue moon, but even if that’s the case don’t count on it because you don’t want or deserve that kind of person who isn’t willing to give you their time or respect
