As a Gospel musician and teacher, I'm learning more and more that playing is based on a sequence of movements. This is why chord and scale exercises are a must in developing dexterity. I had a student who said exercises are so boring and he just wanted to get to playing songs, but his hands were stiff as a board. He had very little mobility in moving around the keyboard. So, for Students who are willing to progress in their playing, I can't stress it enough don't develop lazy habits by skipping your exercises. Do anybody know any other way; because you can listen and try to pick out something but if you just have all ears and no hands you still will not be able to perform on the level of a Quennel or a Sean lol. Thanks for sharing bro.

Tenors should be at Bb, Altos are at F, Sopranos are at Ab... its essentially a dominant chord. Richard Smallwood has made several vids about this

key takeaway from this is that gospel musicians do a lot of movements in 6ths (C-A) for instance and playing up the scale a 6th away from each other.. i was actually able to keep up with this pretty well LOL
