Roofers damaged three tomato plants that were just transplated. I cut off the main stem at the fracture point and soaked about 2 inches of the main stem into a disposable plastic cup of filtered (no chlorine) water. About a week later, roots have grown from that main stem. It did not work for a branch that dropped off. Only from the main stem did roots grow.

coconut coir is a poor choice for blueberries as the ph 7 is too alkaline. peat moss has a ph of 4, whic is what blueberries need. its easier to start with acidic soil and mix with other neutral substrates or add lime to increase ph. it’s much harder and slower to reduce a soil ph with sulfur as that needs bacteria to bring soil ph down

There is nothing wrong with peat moss. It is a natural product. It is sustainable. Check it out before you listen to the nonsense.
