Finally, a video just about learning the riff. Not hard for me but all the big KZbin bass channels have too much talking and fluff.

Love this whole concept. Thanks for the vid. I’m intermediate bassist in the realm of finger style and I’ve dabbled in slap, but this is a great exercise and a smooth line. Love the interactive component of it and that it builds. Thanks man.

Hi thanks, for this sound I didn't use a real amp. I used the simulated amp simulated amp: (4X10 OB Tweed 59 (us)) in the Th3 (vst plugin). It is available in Cakewalk by bandlab software. This is all for free btw. Google Cakewalk by bandlab. Maybe I'll be doing a video about this in the future.

how do you mute the 4th string after playing 0 5 5? when i get to the first pop
@slapkopofficial
@slapkopofficial Ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. After playing 0 0 5 leave one or more fingers on the e string to mute the string. Practice slowly, you'll do it automatically after a while.

Whats the tuning for this. my bass doesn't sound like that and i think im doing something wrong
@slapkopofficial
@slapkopofficial Ай бұрын
Hi thanks for your comment. The tuning is standard e a d g. Try to find out if you are playing it correctly with the right notes. Could be that you need more practice or maybe your bass has a high action, or is not proper intonated. It could be litterly anything. Hard for me to judge from here. But aside from playing the right notes with the right technique on a proper set up bass. I use some fx, compressor, flanger, reverb and a digital amp. So that could also be a reason that it sounds different when you play it. BTW are all the symbols in the tab clear for you? For example when to hammer on and pull of? Good luck!!

@slapkopofficial
@slapkopofficial 3 ай бұрын
Maybe try playing with the video on 0.75 or 0.5 speed. Furthermore you could isolate that specific part you're having trouble with. And practice only that measure(s). First slow but try to increase the speed as you'll notice it's getting easier. It can take days or even longer so have patience. Good luck!
