Loved the video, so much information! This is my second year trying to grow them from seed. Presently getting plugs is not in the budget so growing information for me is key. Thank you.

I got here to this video from the Farmer Bailey email. What a fantastic resource! Thank you for sharing. So neat to hear about the breeding efforts in Japan and all the different varieties. This is the first season I'm growing lisianthus, and I started some from seed (got good, consistent germination but they have stayed quite small) and bought some plugs (they are ready to transplant this weekend). I'm going to try planting some in my high tunnel and some in the field. I'll also try removing some of the first buds and see how that goes. Basically, I'm treating this as a learning season, trying different things, taking notes, and hoping that I'll have some Group 3 still flowering in time for my early fall backyard wedding.

I think I have unfavorable growing conditions for seedling in my home. Living in the north US. This is my first time growing Lisian's as I refer to them😊 Only time will tell. Thanks again for all your help! God bless.

I grow Lisanthus in my indoor grow room in zone 5 over winter for spring planting. LED lights and coolosh soil after germinating. While growing- moisture control IS key. Lisianthus LOVES small soil blocks! I bump some of them up to large soil blocks.

Great video. I’ve ordered lisianthus and other plugs from you for three years now with this seasons showing up this March in North Carolina. It’s a great service. I still try to grow from seed but it almost always goes horribly.

Small market grower..always Voyage/Roseann brown. I don't get really tall stems out in my small field. But, they do fine for my bouquets in re-cycled glass containers or jars. Thx. for great info.!!

Thank you so much for watching! If you want longer stems, try increasing your watering/ fertilization schedule and adding Hortonova netting to your Lisi! ~felicia

Hi there, thanks for checking us out! We only ship to the USA at this time. Our growers are all located in the USA and the young plants would not survive an overseas journey & customs. ~felicia

Would it be to late to plant out June 1 zone 5b?
@farmerbaileyplugs10 ай бұрын
@@tanyakilbane7636 Hi Tanya - Lisianthus planting is timed by your last outdoor frost, not zone. It is likely to late for grown-to-order plugs for you. However, you can check out our Ready to Ship selections which are listed most Fridays. More info about that here: farmerbailey.com/pages/about-available-now-trays

Hi there! The video above is a comprehensive class on how to grow Lisianthus - did you have specific questions that were not covered? You can grow Lisianthus in the field, with no tunnel at all. You can also consult Bailey's Lisianthus Growing Guide for more tips and strategies for success. farmerbailey.com/pages/lisianthus-growing-guide
