Hi, Thanks for your video and easy explanation. I have a question. Is this a free size mitten? I'm going to knit this for a large hand.

I don't have round or double-sided needles and there's no video on straight needles so please can you tell me how to do these with strait needles
@KnittingHouseSquare4 жыл бұрын
Hi - that is a great question! I know you can knit in the round using straight needles, I just have never tried it before, so I cannot give much guidance. You could also knit them completely flat and then seam them up the side as another alternative.

@@KnittingHouseSquare thank you so much now I'm trying to do that but I found crocheting this easier but anyway that's for replying

Is straight knitting needles are useful for this project? And could I also use acrylic yarn with a single colour?
@KnittingHouseSquare3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes you could definitely use a single color acrylic yarn as long as it is the same weight (fingering #1). Unfortunately, since this project is knit in the round you could not use straight knitting needles, you would have to use double pointed needles or a circular knitting needle.

hey i love your pattern so much that i'm making some for myself and when the last colour is added on the patternthe last slip stiches look way to close together because on row 26 it says knit 2 dyo and then knit 2, i was thinking maybe this was a mistake because the slip stitch on the 3rd set are too close together and dont reach over the front of the mitten, i'm sorry but its just baffling me if you could help me i would be so greatful. Thankyou
@KnittingHouseSquare2 жыл бұрын
Hi! For row 26 you are exactly right, you should be repeating *Knit 2, DYO, Knit 2*. You will end up with 2 stitches at the beginning, a DYO, then 4 stitches until the next DYO, and then it continues where there will be 4 stitches in between each DYO, and lastly 2 stitches at the end of that repeat portion - Is that what you are ending up with?

could you please show how to knit fingerless mittens with a thumb gusset, completely using only two straight needles? plus, great video!

Just wish I had known that a "round" means knitting both sides, before adding in a thumb increase..
@KnittingHouseSquare4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback - I typically try to emphasize that a round is both needles, but may have forgotten to mention it - I'll keep an eye out for it in my upcoming videos
