I wanted to ask you (or anyone else that cooks at home here) when it comes to blenders - what is the minimum we need? I dont want to end up buying something that wont cut it for the avg homechef.

Any basic blender will work, there is not much different in basic and expensive one in general. Something for 70 dolars will do the job

Sorry if it is sacrilege to ask such a question chef, but would this dish also be nice if I was to saute the scallops first?
@ChefMajk2 жыл бұрын
It is tartare so by cooking you would create different dishe...you don't sear beef tartare right so there is no point even here. But ofc you can if you want to, no one can stop you if you will like it like that.

I just came across this recipe and had to comment. I will not be making this recipe. Scallops are very delicate and there is a lot of "stuff" in this recipe, especially when you dice them up like this. I think the subtle flavour of the scallops will be lost. I prefer to just simply saute the scallops with a beurre blanc or perhaps an herbed butter. If I'm making a seafood tartare, it will be salmon or tuna, which have stronger flavour profiles and can stand up to additional ingredients.

Yeah there are plenty easy recipes like you explain on the KZbin already. For me is boring to do it again same as other people.
