Totally stumbled over your video by chance. Thanks for posting such a great song. Love the way you teach. Last time I watched one of your videos it was a long time ago (maybe 2008?).. I remember a little kid’s voice being in the background of NY State of Mind. Bet your kid is now in college or something. Lol subscribed and liked! Cheers. By the way New Frontier from Donald Fagen would be awesome to see you do.

Christ! This was hard to follow, at the speed you went. After using the pause and rewind buttons, A LOT, I got it and I'm really pleased with what I can play now. Thank you!

This is cool , and I have subscribed. but, Where are you ?? I can't follow your playing vs your descriptions of the chords and notes of your visual chart. My 2 cents, can you point a little closer to the chart in front of you when you say what you are playing. Thanks. These are great vids.

You should teach kids on the spectrum. I did that once and developed a practical method of teaching harmony/composition I'm a jazz pianist, via what I ended up calling map making. But Ausbergers kids aren't inclined towards abstraction like reading music however they are often musically gifted and posses huge concentration spans when fascinated.

What is that very final chord befog the verse starts? you don't name it and your fingers are too fast to see what you strike.

It's an F9 with the 6th on top ( pretty standard jazz voicing). One of my favorite songs to play in our Steely Dan tribute band Citizen Dan

uuuhhhhm okay. what a wonderful video. i know jack shit about piano but i try on my midi keys :P this is brilliant teaching right here, and i love hw you didnt use notes as in classical notation cause that has nothing to do with donald fagen basically :D
