Honestly speaking sir during my school days I want to learn sanskrit but teachers are not available cos I am the student of sanskrit rest of them chooses other.... I'm from Pakistan, I can speak hindi but can't read or write. Here to learn Devanagari alphabets. I think schools in Pakistan should start teaching Hindi as a language like urdu. After all, it's our regional language ❤️

Trust me I'm doing the same learning Urdu script But I write in urdu now after learning from 2 months But still how do you read cursive Urdu,😅 It's too tough to decode There is no such thing in hindi learn the swars(vowels) and vyanjan (consonants) and Sanyukta (joint letters) and you're good to go, now you can read Hindi or Sanskrit ❤❤

@@lordoftears I can read hindi now but again the same thing with me, I find urdu easy to read and write and hindi difficult, at first I was like how can someone even read this, this is so hard. The way alphabets curve it's kinda feeling heavy for eyes to focus. I thought if someone'd learn urdu, I'll be far more easy for him because alphabets are kinda simple but you confirmed that it's hard for you. Well, that's because hindi for me and urdu for you are kinda really new, but I can assure with time, it gets better. I can also read hindi now bit faster but still not perfect, I've to focus on every alphabet to make words but again, the time will show up. 😉

you can read devnagri script mostly everywhere in india . Devnagari means:The Devanagari script, composed of 47 primary characters including 14 vowels and 33 consonants, is the fourth most widely adopted writing system in the world, being used for over 120 languages. example: Apabhramsha, Awadhi, Bhili, Bhojpuri, Bodo, Braj, Chhattisgarhi, Dogri, Gujarati, Garhwali Haryanvi, Hindi, Hindustani, Kashmiri, Konkani,Kumaoni, Magahi, Maithili, Marathi, Marwari, Mundari, Newari, Nepali, Pāḷi, Pahari, Prakrit, Rajasthani, Sadri, Sanskrit, Santali, Saraiki, Sherpa, Sindhi, Surjapuri, and many more.

I just started learning this alphabet - it looks super cool! I also learned the Runic alphabets and the Gothic alphabet as well as learning Old Norse and Gothic and Icelandic and Faroese etc, and also the Cyrillic alphabet - now I want to learn the Devanagari script and the Greek letters! I think I can memorize them fast - the vowels are pretty easy to learn!

Sinhalese here. Trying to learn Devanagari first before learning Hindi. The script I find is harder to recognise at first glance than actually understanding Hindi. I can understand almost every single Sanskrit origin word so Hindi is really really ez. The lack of "a" sound at the end of words like in Mandira>Mandir, Rama>Ram, Vihara>Vihar, Vijay>Vijaya, Bharatha>Bharath, Sanskruta>Sanskrit is a bit jarring though when spoken fast.

Have you heard the song “why this kolaveri di”. The vowel at the end of the lines of the song is the vowel that’s being pronounced here. Just give a touch of R before it.
