Great overview. One question though, why do you need a DI box? Most of the interfaces nowadays have instrumental inputs, which are there for plugging guitars directly.

Thanks Ivan! Yeah you can absolutely use an instrument input but it may not necessarily sound better. Having a dedicated DI box with the single function tends to be a bit cleaner than using an instrument input on an interface, but if you only have an interface than it should be sufficient.
