Learn to Sew in 2024! There are so many resources out there to help you learn to sew in the new year! The biggest resource is probably KZbin combined with local quilt or sewing machine shops. Take the time to research a local sewing machine shop near you, I’m not talking about Joann fabrics, I mean family owned, mom and pop shops that are in your area. Most of these shops have beginner sewing classes and they can make a huge difference in getting you started sewing.

Oh this is awesome Casey, you're not working with the same company that did a collab with Yaya Han for the B79 sewing machine. And Cowbutt Crunchies had a great experience with the B37. I'm aiming for the b79 one day but first I'll need a secondhand gaming PC laptop to use the b79 embroidery software because I don't have an HP chip inside of my MacBook. Thank God Bernette is making embroidery software more accessible.

Yep so the B79 was what the Yaya Han collaboration machine is based off of and CowbuttCrunchies is also working with Bernette, as well as Sarah Spaceman, we all know each other and have been communicating and supporting each other on this incredible journey.

Sewing buttons onto fabric is not as scary as you think. It's important to line up the button holes correctly so you don't break the needle on your machine. Give it a try on scrap fabric, I think you will find the buttons are more secure and look much nicer. Cute skirt.

Keep on sewing those buttons on by hand, it's easy and fast as the machine. you will spend more time lining the button up than sewing it by hand.

Oh! That's so good to know! I love doing hand sewing finishes like buttons, hems, etc so it's hard for me to break that habit. I do plan to TRY the button feature and then if I like my hand sewn buttons better I can go back to them 😊
