How much French did you need to get by during the event? Would love to do this myself someday but currently I know absolutely no French ^^;
@CaseyReneeCosplay3 күн бұрын
I don't think I was required to speak any French, most of the French people knew English. I did greet people with Bonjour and Bon Soire and if I ran into someone I'd say Pardon and I said Merci to thank people but that's just how I treated everyone in Europe. I learned small common phrases just to be respectful.

Hi! This is EXACTLY what I need for a Glinda (Wizard of Oz 1939) cosplay! Her pannier is extremely wide and this is perfect! Could I contact you about possibly making this for me???❤
Love your little skull pins, I made myself some too last Halloween along with tiny pumpkin ones 🎃

Thank you for sharing the full experience! It seems like such a cool event. I take it you had someone with you who was taking all the footage of you, right? Like, people weren't bringing tripods etc into Versailles?

I did have someone taking footage of me and I often asked my friends there to take a picture or video as well. I'm so happy to share the experience and emphasize how nice everyone was!

I love the dress, and what an amazing experience going to the Fetes Gallants! I especially like the butterflies. Thank you for breaking down your process as this will make it easy to follow in the future for construction (as this seems to be a detailed project, especially adding on the trims and ruffles). Thank you for sharing!

what is the best method to use with velvet fabric?
@CaseyReneeCosplay11 күн бұрын
I would use gemtac, the heat from a hot fix tool will burn a ring around the rhinestone so avoid using that

I think I found a pretty accurate organza available to the public..... that is currently sold out.
@CaseyReneeCosplay17 күн бұрын
I've seen something similar at Mood but it doesn't have the same texture as the fabric I have but that doesn't make a huge difference for most people.
@benenter873917 күн бұрын
@@CaseyReneeCosplay the fabric I am talking about in my first comment which is sold out was from Fabric Direct. I found two even better substitutes of fabric wholesale direct, however both options are an equal distance shade difference on either side of the stage used fabric. And neither has the decorative pilling(the decorative pilling isn’t a dealbreaker for me). But I know where to get the fabrics now, if (when) I decide to make the gown. Maybe after I’m finished with my current Galinda wand prop build.

Something you can do right now that cost nothing is create a mood board of ideas for what you want to wear. Or just start looking at the hotels around the palace, start dreaming and planning and then the money will come 😊

The dress turned out amazing! I love the detailing you put into the trim; the details take it to the next level! Also, this is completely random, but I saw you at the Georgia Renaissance Festival last month. I work there as a cast member; you were crossing a bridge and I was standing with my group, when an older gentleman fell off a bench. After we helped him up, we talked to him for a bit just to make sure he was okay and you continued on. I wanted to say hello but you were gone by the time the situation was resolved, and I didn't see you the rest of the day. I was kinda sad, but grateful to see you in passing!
