Can this machine sew denim?

It can sew through light denim upto 4 layers without any issues. Make sure to use a denim needle or a 16 size needle. Hope this helps

The thread won’t hook into the take-up lever at all. It’s as high as it will go. 😡 I’ve been sewing for 50 years and this machine has already wasted an hour of my time just trying to thread it.
