Thank you, thank you, thank you! I searched and searched for a tutorial for brioche crochet and when I found one it was for a specific pattern (hat, infinity scarf, phone case, etc.), not basic teaching. This tutorial is so good, and the different stitches so well explained. I can feel confident much more quickly with this visual instruction, your wonderfully simplified written procedures, and different stitches. Did I say thank you?

Just completed the brioche TSS in the top horizontal bar sampler and I really like it! It’s so different from the traditional Tunisian simple stitch and creates such a beautiful design. Looking forward to completing some of Kris’ projects. 😊

I can't wait to get off from work so I can watch the whole thing! You are so good at teaching. Really love your videos. I love TC but it would be even better if we could do taller TC stitches. I wouldn't even try to make an Afghan in TC bc the stitch height is a about like making an Afghan in all sc. Maybe we can create some crazy tall TC lol!! Anyways I will watch this as soon as I get home!! :)) Amie

Good point! But good news! 1. There ARE tall stitches in Tunisian crochet! You can make Tunisian Double Crochet stitches or even Tunisian Treble stitches. BUT..... you don't have to worry about these short stitches. because 2. Tunisian stitches although you are correct are the same size as Single Crochet, they are made WAY faster than SC. You can really go fast in Tunisian crochet after a while!! So don't let that stop you. Trust me, I really don't like using SC for the reason you mentioned. So slow! But Tunisian stitches are MUCH faster! Thank you sooooo much for your kind words and for caring enough to comment! xo :-)

Could you make a video on Tunisian biroche for an Afghan ? Would love to learn more . thanks for the video.

Hi Mary, Yes, you could absolutely so that. You'll need a double ended hook with a long cable. The Denise sets are good for this because they are modular and can make the cable as long as you need. What weight yarn were you thinking of? I would recommend making a swatch first to ensure you like the way it looks and feels. Let me know if you do this! It would be awesome to see what you make!!!

Mary I misunderstood your question at first. You wouldn’t even need another video. Everything you need is in this video. Work a swatch first to get the hang of this technique and to make sure you like your yarn choices together. Once you have that done, establish how many stitches in your gauge in 4inches. Then choose how wide you want your Afghan to be. Then start with the amount of stitches that will give you the size you want. Does that help?

Hello thank you fornthe video. Are you please able to do a video showing how to tunisian crochet in the round jogless when changing colors.?
@LightandJoyDesigns4 жыл бұрын
+Romantic Flor You’re welcome. Can you tell me what you mean by “jobless”? I would be happy to do this.
@LightandJoyDesigns4 жыл бұрын
+Romantic Flor I think I understand what you’re asking. I will work on that. However I don’t think you can work this Brioche in the round. I’ll look into it again but I’m pretty sure it won’t work because the reverse pass has to happen from the other end. Let me try some experiments.

Hello! Isn't this style of crochet called crocheting, cro hooking or crochet on the double? I made several items with those samples that you show in your video. Scarves, hats and afghans.
@LightandJoyDesigns3 жыл бұрын
I’d never heard that term so maybe! I’ll have to look into that. Have you posted any pictures online anywhere? I’d live to see your work. 😊👍

+Quilterbee Tarpley actually I tried this today and it didn’t work without having to cut and reattach the yarn. So you could do it but you’ll have ends to weave in.
