Hi there, my recommendation for you is to start with the fundamental concepts and try to understand what they are. The concepts such as Vowel Hamorny (Ünlü Uyumu), Consonant Harmony (Ünsüz Benzeşmesi ve Ünsüz Uyumu), Vowel Mutation (Ünlü Daralması), Vowel Omission (Ünlü Düşmesi)...etc. As Turkish uses suffixes all the time, understanding these concepts will definitely help you. Then you need to learn how to form nominal sentences such as "I am a teacher, I was a teacher...etc". Beginning like this help you to feel confident about the language. Can we say that "görmek" is to see and " görmeyi " seeing ( as a gerund) ?

görmek as an infinitive verb means to see. But both görmek and görme can be a noun in a sentence. For example, if I say "Görmek inanmaktır." here it is a noun. It means seeing is believing. When we say "İstanbul'u görmeyi çok istiyorum" , görme here is also noun and it has an accusative case suffix with a buffer letter. Hope this helps.

@@TurkishJourney It's a bit complicated. I understood that in a sentence they both have the function of a noun and generally their translation depends on the context . I guess that in the accusative case it is a bit like a gerund (seeing) and in this case it can't be just replaced before the verb istemek.

For example, if you say I am coming to see you then görme receives the dative case suffix like this. Seni görme-y-e geliyorum. But, I certainly believe this will be more clear with the future videos. Selamlar. Aralarında anlam olarak bir fark yok aslında ama teknik olarak bir fark var. Genelde "İstanbul'u görmek istiyorum." şeklinde kullanırız. Bu cümlelerdeki "görmek" ve "görme" kelimelerinin ikisi de isimleşmiş fiildir. Hem "görmek" hem de "görmeyi" cümlenin nesnesidir. "görmek" belirtisiz nesne, "görmeyi" de belirtili nesnedir. Kullanımdaki temel farklardan bir tanesi belirtisiz nesnenin mutlaka yüklemden hemen önce gelmesinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Örneğin "İstanbul'u görmek yarın istiyorum." diyemeyiz. Mutlaka ya "İstanbul'u yarın görmek istiyorum." deriz ya da yarın kelimesini vergulamak istiyorsak bu sefer de "İstanbul'u görmeyi yarın istiyorum". demek zorunda kalırız. ​@@Kara_Pabuc Rica ederim. Fakat buradaki -ma eki de fiilden isim yapma eki. Bu cümlelerdeki "yapmak" ve "yapma" kelimelerinin ikisi de isim, ya da daha isabetli bir ifadeyle Türkçe'de isim fiil denilen sözcük türü. O sebeple zaten "yapma" kelimesi -i belirtme ekini alabilmiş.
