good lesson I really liked how you taught the strum pattern although I found other chords are easier. If you put a capo on 2 and play the chords G-Am-C-G it's a lot easier than trying to do the Bm bar cord. Then again if you put in the hard work to get that Bm down you'll be better off in the long run

I really enjoyed the song and my instructor assigned it with the bar cord so this is perfect. My only wish is that I would love you guys to include the timing so I can count as well. So, in addition to the down/up's how about the 1,2,3,4 timing and thank you. I did it as 1, 2 and 3, 4 and 5 and 6 and and seven and

Man, thank you so much for explaining so patiently and so clearly every aspect of the song: the strumming, the chords, the super difficult Bm chord! You rock man! Also, I read there's another way to play the Bm chord: X2X2X2. What do you think?
@jaden_bricker7 жыл бұрын
That would honestly be harder than just playing the normal barre chord, dude. Sorry, but you're not going to get any better by avoiding barre chords. 😕
@andreapilarte45387 жыл бұрын
J3 Productions Truth is I ended up doing it like that (X2X2X2) and it worked pretty well haha it sounds very very similar, if not same.
@dand27436 жыл бұрын
You can cheat and play the Bm in the shape of an F chord (only up two frets and bring you higher 2 fingers together into more like a Am shape and don't hit the A string) It's a reasonable cheat, but Yes.... working on your Barre chords will allow you to play MANY more songs and more properly.

Hi Andrea and thank u for your kind words on this lesson - most appreciated. So glad that u liked this lesson and I hope that it helps u along in ur guitar and musical journey. Yeah, I try and make the lessons as easy and fun to follow along with all the graphics and everything with the rhythms and strumming - thank u for mentioning that. As far as another sub for that B minor barre chord - you can always play the B5 chord which is x24xxx, its not going to sound the same but will have the flavor. Keep working on the barres chords though as they are super important and be sure to get my free video lesson on essential barre chord techniques - will really help.
