It’s simple, the whole show is sponsored by Volvo and I’m guessing they sponsor Parker as well. Anyone else notice that they blur out the “Cat” logos on the excavators. The only reason why they don’t blur out the brand name of the D series Cat dozers is because Volvo doesn’t make steel tracked bulldozers.

The interviewer needs to do a little research into how Parker got started in gold mining with his grandfather and maybe watch a season or two of Gold Rush to really see how successful Parker is and has been for many years, after telling his parents that he didn't want to go to college, he wanted to be a Gold Miner. I thought Parker was going to slap her when she called him a Fleet Manager. Seriously? That's what she thinks he is. Hardly. He has created a very successful mining company and is truly an entrepreneur mining "Millions of $$$" worth of Gold from the ground. He has also become the most popular figure on one of Discovery Channel's most watched shows, GOLD RUSH. I am a fan of the show and impressed with the young man and how successful he has become from where he started. Volvo makes good equipment, because if they didn't, Parker would not be using them in his mining operations.

For everyone saying he's not a fleet manager, he is on top of many other jobs he does on site. If you have noticed, he has taken on a much larger office role and they've even shown him looking at and purchasing equipment from the internet. While, that's not what he is known for and he is the owner of the company....he's still a fleet manager

That lady knew nothing about Parker- The context of her questions Illustrated that the Producers ( of her show ) simply told her you are interviewing a young man who grew up to be a fleet manager. Parker was as gracious as I have ever seen him, to an interviewer that frankly didn't have an ounce of his background. Keep pushing those Electric Vehicles though.

The producers approached all of the equipment manufacturers for sponsorship considering their equipment was in the show, if they didnt buck up then they blurred their logos. Cat refused to comply with their demands. Simple

Any large scale quarry or construction site I’ve ever been on uses Volvo equipment. I’ve seen old Volvo loaders with 40 thousand hours on them working hard every day. Even seen the smaller l90s going around with twenty thousand hours on them pushing up silage for 20 hours a day ,day in day out where other brands would have fallen apart with those kinda hours.

I’ve operated a few different brands of loaders for years and I’ve found that the Volvo not only uses the least amount of fuel compared to a Cat front end loader of equal size. Their engines and hydraulics also run very smooth and quiet as well compared to a Cat. Volvo also had a lot better line of sight , especially vision out of the rear window compared to a cat 924 loader.

There is a reason you see cat equipment everywhere on the show despite volvo throwing money at it. Cat works and you can get parts. Volvo getting better but its limited. Komatsu makes some of the biggest and baddest imo, but it isnt viable in remote territories because of parts. So you almost never see on the show.
