Great tip! Out shot math is one of the more difficult aspects of darts. Thanks Nick!

I know the outs. The problem I have is when I miss the first number, I have to step back and work out what's left 😭

Great advice. I look at my checkout poster on my wall way too much lol. Definitely getting better and i think this will help thanks. I know theres nothing worse than playing online and having to wait on me to do my math lol if anyone has had to suffer through this i apologize. Thanks Nick and keep shooting well

😂 outs charts are great ways to memorize outs too! Only thing is, is that those have the standard outs where sometimes there’s a better way to take something out to maximize your chances at winning. But I remember when I used to have to keep my outs charts in my hand during tournaments lol

It’s definitely worth learning the outs that leave you with a chance if you hit a single instead of a treble eg on 122 go the 18s because even if you leave yourself the bull, you can always hit single 18 or 10 to tee yourself up for the next visit instead. Never gamble on hitting the treble on your first dart. Also it’s equally important to know when is a good time to bring the bull into play other than to finish.

Definitely!! But for a beginner who doesn’t know outs, that can be confusing at first, like 68 with two darts in hand Vs three and if your opponent is on an out vs not on an out, I recommend learning the basics then learn that stuff along the way

The math side of darts is so important, and yet it is so often ignored, especially by people relatively new to the game. The methods you propose here are a sound way for people to become familiar with working out their out shots. I advise people to try to memorize the solution to numbers that they see often. Not many people have the capacity to memorize every single out shot, but some numbers seem to crop up more than others, so just try to memorize those. Using your random number generator with min/max set to say 231/350 you could use it to practice approach shots. Trying to land on a three dart out while avoiding the bogey numbers 169, 168, 166, etc.

Agreed! That’s how I started, I worked on common numbers I found myself on then moved forward from there. I was thinking that same thing! I’ve been focusing a lot on that lately myself, figuring out the best shots on that range to set myself up

Any out odd means you should shoot at an odd on your 1st shot in my opinion. For players who can not nail a 25/50 70% of the time should be shooting at triple 19 or even triple 16 during the grind down. Computers and science proves this. Also real important to know your 2 out scenarios on the fly. Also easy way, if your out ends with a 1 say 101, 91, 111, go for triple 17 which will put it on a nice even 10s number.

Good idea but there are ppl that will always shoot darts that feel better to them. Like 19’s on lots of our shots.
@BullshotDarts2 жыл бұрын
Definitely! But to maximize your chance at an out and the win, sometimes you gotta go a different way
@trevorkearley87832 жыл бұрын
Yes but think about 104. Should you go 18 first or 20 or 19 or 16. That is what I am saying with preferences. Or 100 after you block the triple 20 do you go tops tops or triple 16 double 16. I have been doing that game for years without actually thinking it is a game. But I have changed my way of shooting for out shots depending on the game and the opponent
@BullshotDarts2 жыл бұрын
For 104 the highest odds shot is the 16, but I hear what you’re saying and definitely! I suggest learning the “standard” outs first so you at least know them, then from there you can learn the other ways to go
@trevorkearley87832 жыл бұрын
@@BullshotDarts I agree with certain standard shots but don’t always set up on double 16. That way you leave yourself with less chances of winning

🤔 what about 100? New players dont hit t20 like old ones. What if they trow 1 then u dont get any outshots in that round. Hit anywhere else and u have a chance to get one dart on the double. 129 u just dont trow 20 it is so bad choice even if your opponent has like 378. (Sorry 4 my english, i can speake but i dont know how to write it😆) those two are just on example there are many more like those.
