QFD (Quality Function Deployment)- Level 2, 3 and 4 (PART-2)

In continuation to one of the very important tool i.e. QFD (Quality Function Deployment), I am going to explain Level-2 onward QFD in this video. Level 2 QFD is used during “Design Development phase”, Level 3 QFD is used during “Process Development phase” and Level 4 QFD is used during “Process Quality control phase”.
QFD is a method of ensuring customer requirements are accurately translated into relevant technical specifications from product definition to product design, process development and implementation, sequentially from Level-1 QFD to Level-4 QFD.

Hi, I want to ask about the importance rating. In the Level 1, the importance of the VoC comes from the customer right?. Then in the Level 2, how do we get the importance rating for the technical specification? is it come from the customers again or from us? Thank you

That's a great question. For rating of technical requirements, it's hardly known to the customers. So, the importance rating to technical requirements must be given by the process team, as they know the true impact of each technical requirement on the product or process performance.
