Passing interviews is a skill that we all must be equipped with. This is great. Just subbed.

Very informative. Interview with Rishi was very good.Lot to learn from it. If possible try and have one more mock interview with him :) Some questions asked in all the BA interviews and try and cover if you have a mock interview again. 1) tell us about ur recent project and ur roles and responsibilities? 2) Tell us about a time where meeting a deadline was a challenge and how did u tackle the situation of time lapse? 3) How do you manage change request from client ? 4) How do gather requirements and when do you consider them it's done? 5) how good are you with XYZ domain? ( how to answer it if you are not from the similar domain and there is learning curve involved) 3)

These are all excellent questions Paresh. They are definitely on the list for the next interview we do. Thanks for sharing these.

@@BABLOCKS Yes, these are the questions which I was actually asked in some of the interviews and i'd like to know if what I answered was in line to what the interviewee wanted to hear.

So 1 thing i hate is talking about myself over all(personally and workwise). Its something I'm learning to believe that it is OK to be open about accomplishments and things I have done or experienced or lead in the work place. BUT usually I am TOTALLY Uncomfortable even towards friends lol

What should a recent university graduate talk about when this question is asked in an interview?
@BABLOCKS3 жыл бұрын
As a recent grad interviewing for an entry level position, you may want to speak about how your courses have prepared you for the role, and try to emphasize any internship experience you may have.

would this apply for any analyst position? like i'm trying to get in an entry-level police analyst position, and I can't for the love of god, seem to pass it.

Biggest flaw of such videos is that generally candidates with less or no experience are looking for this answer but always the explainer takes example of well achieved candidate with years of experience. PS: If I'm having an experience of 15 years, I'm probably not watching this video.

Hi Archit, You're completely right. This is an example of a mid career business analyst interview. Beginner level interviews are not this intense.

How much do you talk Can't you be precise

Hi Sridhar, I can sense some frustration in your comment. Was there something specific you were looking for in the video that I can help clarify?

I have 8 years of experience, most of it as Developer, recently, I shifted to being a Business Analyst role. My total BA experience was 2 years. Should I include my experience as Programmer for many years or not anymore. How to answer the question “Tell me about yourself” in my upcoming interview as BA? Can you give an advice? Thanks and I appreciate your contents
@BABLOCKS4 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely, keep that experience on your resume Ricky. When asked this question in the interview, you can say something along the lines of "I started my career as a developer and worked in that role for 8 years. When I learned about the role of the BA, I realized that this role would be more interesting so I made the switch. My knowledge as a developer is very useful as a BA as it helps me produce better specifications, knowing how softwar is actully developed." Hope that helps.
