I'm getting a way ahead of myself ,with barley a high-school understanding of physics ,this video is so above my Intellect. I am glad thought that you took the time to make this video, very likely i will come back to it in the future, Thanks.

I did not understand the criteria over which is established the mass transfer direction will ocurr in the opposite direction of what it would be expected. Could you expand a little bit on it? please.
@ridhwanlawal2672
@ridhwanlawal2672 Жыл бұрын
This is based on the presumption that mass transfer should occur from a region with a higher concentration to another with a lower concentration

Both phases are not in equilibrium & common sense demands that the flow should be from higher concentration (liquid here) to low concentration (vapor) until equilibrium is established. However, in this specific case, the saturation pressure of vapor phase @ 45 C is more than that of liquid phase. That's why the concentration will shift the opposite way. That's what I have grasped.

Hi, for your ideal gas law, you have used PV=RT instead of PV=nRT, dont know if that is because your R isnt the universal constant and it equals of Ru/n.

He used specific volume which is V/n, so he just incorporated the n with V.

@@tarikulhasan6199 fugacity is the correction to be made when you study a real gas at conditions where the ideal gas law PV = RT doesn't work anymore.
