Dekuju, Rich. Moc se mi líbí vaše videa. Učím se česky taky. It is a difficult language, but listening to you talking about your daily activities is excellent. Your videos really help one to become used to the spoken language and how to use simple vocabulary and sentences. It doesn't matter if there are mistakes. We all make mistakes! Your videos encourage everyone not to be shy and to just try to communicate. Thank you!

Víš že králík a morčata se nesmí chovat spolu! Tak je hned rozděl! A ta klec je pro ně strašně malá sotva velká pro králíka! Natož pro králíka a dvě morčata!
@LearnCzechwithRich6 жыл бұрын
Muzou byt spolu! Ale jeste nejsou. Klec neni velky ale je otevreno skoro cely den, kazdy den, a proto kralik ma cely byt. A taky, tento klec jeted jenom pro kralik a morcata ma jiny klec, ktery ma 3 patra.Zvirata jsou dulezity pro me a nejsem kruty!

Ahoj Rick, thanks for your great videos! We also have 'kraliky' here in Prague with us! Remember that they need 24/7 access to hay (to stop dental & digestion issues) and lots of cage-free exercise (the same for guinea pigs!). Šťastný nový rok ; - )
@LearnCzechwithRich8 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks very much. Yeah all my animals always have hay (don't worry). Also my rabbit spends a lot of time out of the cage, luckily I regularly work from home so he then has access to the entire flat. Having grown up on a farm, I have always been surrounded by animals and my parents brought me up to put the health of animals first, this is very important to me. Thanks for writing and watching

Hi, I'm from Syria but we moved to the Czech repulic so I need to learn Czech. Your videos are super! It helps me a lot :)

+Yamina Takalam oh great, I am glad the videos are helping you. I hope you are settling into life in the Czech Republic. I think people will really appreciate it if you are able to communicate in Czech, so I wish you good luck :)

+Learn Czech with Rich thank you. But Czech people don't like me because I'm muslim. What you think about islam?
@LearnCzechwithRich9 жыл бұрын
I really do not have any strong views about Islam. As I am essentially an atheist, I feel the same about all religions, i.e. they have all been made up by people - so they contain both good and bad things. I do not mean to upset anyone with this view I only mean to answer your question. When I meet someone new the religion that they choose or lack of religion really isn't something I think about. The only important factor for judging people is "kindness". From my personal experience I have met quite a few Muslims from Afghanistan - all of whom were polite, friendly and kind.
@yaminatakalam62049 жыл бұрын
+Learn Czech with Rich do you have any idea why Czech people don't like us?
@LearnCzechwithRich9 жыл бұрын
+Yamina Takalam I cannot speak for Czech people as I am not Czech, but I would say that I do not think that all Czech people dislike Syrians. Some probably do, and I do not know their reasons. Sorry I am not really very good on religious and political questions.

Your videos are just awesome. Although I'm native Czech speaker and I don't need them I enjoy them so much. Your Czech is honestly really good, much better than Czech lang. skills of some minorities (who live here for their whole life). I'm writing this this comment in English because I love that language and I'm trying to learn it. Hopefully I will be once as good in English as you are in Czech. Once more, thank you for making these educative and valuable videos :)

Jsem češka a ráda koukám na tvá/tvoje videa! Máš dost dobrou češtinu na to že nejsi čech a čeština je velmi těžký jazyk. Sice děláš pár chyb ve výslovnosti, ale to vůbec nevadí. :)

So cute!!! Love your videos. Can I ask you, what do you do for a living? My boy is from Prague and we come over a few times a year (in Prague right now) and thinking of moving here....I am learning the language but it's taking a while...I'm wondering what people do for jobs if they don't yet speak the language very well!!! Any tips? :) Hope you had a great Christmas.
@LearnCzechwithRich9 жыл бұрын
+CherryBBomb13 I work for a software company. Most people who come over start working as an English teacher. Once you have TEFL certificate it is quite easy. For other jobs take a look at the jobs section on expats.cz Thanks for watching and enjoy your time in Prague!

I can understand you quite easily but after seven years here, people often speak so fast that I still don't understand!
@LearnCzechwithRich8 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy, I have the same problem. Often I know something but my brain just cannot quite process it fast enough for me to keep up with a conversation. All we can do is keep trying :)
@theunicornandthefairy88498 жыл бұрын
That's exactly it! Well done though. You are doing well. I laughed when you said the chicken was 'wet' in the Christmas vlg, not at you of course, it's just hard to find the right word sometimes too. It's really interesting to see someone English speaking Czech.
@LearnCzechwithRich8 жыл бұрын
:) yeah, sometimes i find my brain scrambling for a way to say something, i know it isn't quite right but just hope people get the gist
