Hi, soms means 'sometimes', wel eens 'once in a while'. However, they can both be rather decorative, you can learn about it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHnZhK2QgrSYmK8 For the word order, soms can be at the start of the sentence (+ inversion) and in the middle. Wel eens can't be at the start, so it will be in the middle.
