Awesome view and lots of idioms! Thank you, Bob! It's fun, in Russian we have the same idiom, word for word with the same meaning as "to find a needle in a haystack". It means exactly that it would be hard to find a needle in a haystack, rather it would be impossible.

1 Stop and smell the roses-To take time to enjoy life. 2 Everything is coming up in roses-Everything is going well/getting better. 3 Garden variety-Normal, ordinary. 4 A bump on a log-A person who sits around and does nothing. 5 Like finding a needle in a haystack-Something that is hard to find. 6 To hit the hay-Go to bed/sleep. 7 To go out on a limb-To do something risky/take a chance. 8 Late bloomer-A person get good at something when they get older. 9 A stick in a mud-A person who doesn't like change. 10 The short end-The worse side of an unequal deal. 11 To turn a new leaf-Trying to change a bad behavior. 12 In a nutshell-To describe something as short as possible.
