No need to such complicated process like that. The law of gravity is applied if the river is higher than the farm all you need is flexible hose fill with water as a starter.

I have this siphon system on my pond. The pipe runs allthe way to my house snd through the house. But we connected it to a regular well to. The well water is no good to drink. But i turn it on and it pushes well water uphill backwards through the line from the pond. It primes the pond line, fills it up. I can't use buckets because it would take forever tofill up the long line to the house. So i fill it up using well water. When well water runs into the pibd, i turn off the well pump. Then the water siphons downhill from the pind using gravity only. I get good volume and about 30 lbs pressure coming out the faucet. But I raise it to 40-50 lbs using a pressure pump in the house. Most city houses have about 60 psi, but if you get any higher, it can blow old pladtic lines apart. You dont need 60 really🙂

That is not a pump. It is a siphon. With one side higher than the other, like this is, water will easily SIPHON from one side to the other. At first I thought he was going to make a ram pump but this is just a siphon.

The Exit end of the pipe appears to be lower than the water level at the water supply end. It is difficult to see because of the long distance from end to end and the video does not show the gradient of the land and pipe from end to end. This is just a simple siphon.
