Fais is for subjects je and tu Prendre is the infinitive form (to take) Prend is indactif présent for the subjects il, elle, and on Prends is indactif présent for je and tu.

For verbs that have "voir" or "oir" it is noted for the most part to conjugate to passé composé you would drop the voir (or oir if there is no v) as well as any vowels that is between the voir or oir and the last consonant Example: falloir = fallu In the case of pouvoir do note that the letters between p and voir are all vowels. So what happens in this case is you would drop the voir but also drop o and u because adding an extra vowel would make it sound and look weird. So it would be this: Pouvoir = Pu If a consonant intervenes at anypoint that is where you would stop dropping letters. Vouloir = voulu *note these verbs Devoir now the obvious answer you with think is Du, you would be half right but Du is a partitive meaning so to omit the confusion, the passé composé added an accent to the u Devoir = Dû Another verb, the only one i know so fair which behaves differently: S'asseoir = s'assis One more to look out are verbs that have the letter C before voir/oir when conjugating the c is given the accent Ç Example: Recevoir = Reçu Now for -re verbs majority of them have a consontant as the third last letter (mostly D) Attendre = attendu Verbs like plaire does not have a consonant near the end instead you got two vowels before -re so same rules apply you remove the vowels Plaire = Plu However if a verb ends with -ire then you drop -re and add -t Example: Écrire = Écrit Dire = Dit If a verb ends with -ttre then you drop -ttre and any vowels and add -is Example: Mettre = Mis *Note these verbs Lire in passé composé is not lit because lit is a noun meaning bed just like du to omit confusion you have to add the u instead Lire = lu The auxillary verb être is interesting in that because it only has one consontant you only have to remove the -re like normal but you add and -é, why é? Because it sounds better than étu Être = été Similar rule to être but you remove the t and of course the last two letters are vowels so you drop those and add -é Naître = né
