Every word that is hard for me to pronounce, I make sure to put how to pronounce it as easiest way I could understand. Then I typed it on computer. So, that is another time for me to re-read and learn every word I wrote from these videos.

The only difference is you have a teacher that you can ask anytime and that they already know how the actual A1 exam is. I also used the provided test samples from goethe's website and watch exam prep videos on youtube. I also suggest to practice talking if possible to another friend that is learning the same language.

@@yashpal3567 I would suggest you to start with the Netzwerk A1 Deutsch als Fremdsprache set of books. They are quite easy to understand and one can maintain their interest with all the activities given within. It comes in a set of three - a Textbook, a Workbook and a Glossary. I suggest to complete one chapter every week from the Textbook and complete the Workbook along with it. Try not using any translation software to make sentences and use the glossary to translate the words. I hope this helps :)

I'm a half German American, and took a German course in high school but sadly don't remember much of what I was taught. I'm now living in the UK, and even though a few people have told me not to tell people I'm German, I still want to learn about my roots and the tiny village my family lived in. A cousin of mine visited this small village, showed them her passport, and they showered her with love and hospitality! I'm from Germany and it's so much fun to watch these lessons when I have nothing better to do. But there are a few things you should bear in mind if you are really thinking about coming to Germany. Firstly, even if the pronunciation of the person behind the channel is surprisingly good, the accent in Germany is of course missing and the pronunciation is often monotone and characterized by a bad mood, passive aggressive. And secondly, a typical greeting when you are among friends or not in an official conversation is simply "Nah". "Nah" can mean a lot of things, but can also be used as a greeting in the appropriate context. This is more original than "Hello"

Yesterday was my first day in learning German. I watched three your videos and I understood how to make a verb form in German. For example, Ich wohne/Du wohnst/Wir wohhnen/Er wohnt. It was pretty easy since I'm from Russia; we have quite simmilar logic when we talk about forming verbs. Then, I learned new words. Hallo/Guten Tag/Guten Morgen/Guten Abend/Guten Nacht/Auf wiedersehen/Auf Wiederhören. I also learned how to spell vovels and consonants properly. So, I would like to write these comments below your videos because it will help me to revise information. By the way, Your videos are actually helpful. My goal is to watch all of them to get A1 level.

When you're learning a language you do not worry about the accent right away, at least that's what i think. If you occupy ur mind with dilect right from the get go, its gonna be hard.

I'm learning German as a hobby. I've always wanted to learn, my paternal grandfather immigrated from Germany in his 20s and spoke German. I take my sabbatical leave next January so hoping I can build a foundation before I dive into in-person classes! I have 5 years of Spanish experience, but never used it after college so the acquisition of the language never really stuck
