I am Dutch, and my mother is a teacher for learners of Dutch at beginner's level. She also makes a lot of hand gestures like you, speaks slower and repeats a lot, or changes one word in the sentence to explain how to use it in several circumstances. Your videos are very recognisable to me, and even without knowing about the testimony it is clear that you know how to explain it to people having another mother language than German. Can someone tell me what is the difference between the 2 different types of quotation marks in German? (between „this“ and »this« ) In French we only have « this » and in English it's “this” with sometimes a different shape or single quotes instead of double, but it's still pretty much the same, so it's the first time that I've encountered a situation where you have two options in a langage.

Je ne sais pas comment je pourrais être plus claire... Je voulais simplement connaître la différence entre les deux sortes de "Anführungszeichen" qu'il y avait en allemand car dans les autres langues que je parle il n'en existe qu'une seule sorte par langue. C'était la première fois que j'entrais en contact avec une langue où on pouvait les écrire de deux manières. Parfois comme ça : „...“ (Gänsefüßchen) et parfois comme ça : »...« (Chevrons ; Französischen Anführungszeichen mit den Spitzen nach innen verwendet). Il n'y a aucun mot ou contexte en particulier que je n'ai pas compris. Je vois simplement certains livres écrire les "Anführungszeichen" d'une certaine manière et d'autres de l'autre manière. Je me demandais s'il y avait une raison pour l'existence de ces deux façons possibles de les écrire et s'il y avait quelque chose qui déterminait l'usage de l'un ou de l'autre. Mais à en croire les réponses que j'ai reçues, ce n'est qu'une question de préférence et les "Gänsefüßchen" ( „...“) sont plus communs. Et que cela ne vaut que pour l'Allemagne, car en Suisse, ils utilisent surtout les "Guillemets Français" («…»).

You mean das and dass ? When you have a main clause and a subordinate clause you have to separate this with a comma. When you want to check what is right you need to look something... when you can use jenes, dieses, welches you use das when you cant use that, you need to write dass. Hope i can help you.

How I understand it is that zu is going to a place, not necessarily going inside or anything (just moving and arriving or being at that place) and in is going into a place with the accusative case. Though 'in' with the dative case is different where in + dativ is more "inside" than "into" (in+akk) or "at" (like zu is)
