That's great. After you learn Portuguese you can easily jump into Spanish, Italian and French. So it's like learning a bunch of language at once.

Great video as always. It's been so fun to follow your journey with a new language. Also you said you have a hard time with the nasal sounds...but I gotta tell you, as a native speaker hearing the snipped you showed, you sound really good, so hopefully you don't get discouraged with the pronunciation. Best of luck to you! 😊

Ok the part you are trying to speak some sounds was so fun to me, thanks for this moment! 😂 Ok, it's so fun how the people are different cause I don't like grammar in the begging to learn a new language and you're anxious to get this part, i really like to see how we're all so different learning! Can't wait for the next week 🥳🥰

As a native brazilian portuguese speaker, I can't watching movies from Portugal and understand 100% without subtitles. Heard from some Americans and British people that's a mutual problem between them! It's that true?
@SheaJordan10 ай бұрын
So it depends, I sometimes can’t understand really thick British accents and sometimes Scottish or Irish can be hard. But it’s mainly just because of the intense accent, not because the language itself actually changes. Sure they have some phrases or ways of saying things that are different, but for the most part there’s no difficulty understanding each other. 😊 Hope that makes sense!
@whiskeyfoxtrotnovember888810 ай бұрын
@@SheaJordan Yeah 😊 sure! I believe that is almost the same thing that happens between brazilian portuguese and Portugal speakers. I appreciate your attention 😊 Thank you so much for the feedback.

@@SpeakUp24h sim, falo português. Mas não uso esta língua com frequência, então as vezes tenho dificuldades e olvido algumas coisas.
@ThePraQNome10 ай бұрын
We usually just say "vô" for grandfather and "vó"for grandmother. The "o" vowel sound in "vô" is very similar to the vowel in "go" and the vowel sound in "vó" is very similar to the vowel in "fog". PS: The correct word is "avô" for grandfather and "avó" for grandmother. The way you spelled ("vovô" and "vovó") means something like little grandma or grandpa. It's a cute way that kids usually say it.

Hello. How long is the typical lesson? Can you work on it 30-60 minutes per night? Thanks.
@SheaJordan10 ай бұрын
Yes! Exactly about 30-60 minutes including the video and your assigned “homework”. The videos themselves range from 7-12 minutes and then they give you assignments so in total it can be anywhere from 20-60 minutes depending on how much you want to do.
