Since GBVS:R is coming out tomorrow and I want to go super hard on it, no 101 guide for Elphelt this time around. So I tried to add a bit more "guide" to this video Thankfully she's super easy so there isn't much I wouldn't include on this guide haha. She's super fun, will definitely be playing her more 😀

Yeah thankfully, it's good enough in the long run to get rid of SF6 MK1 and GGST, and play exclusively that game (playerbase wise). Only GBVS and KoFXV are really worth our time, rest is really too casual oriented with very very dumb mechanics (2MK DR all day into corner into loops for SF6 / wall damage for Strive) or terrible features (MK1 : bad netcode, no crossplay, bugs all day, PC version sucks, etc).

More like death/black metal fans. All the music in this game is fucking metal, almost every single track, and like none of it has any growling. I love how so many people see metal as random loud riffs with shouting and growling, while death and black metal are literally one of the most niche metal genres there are. Hell, even symphonic metal is more popular

Oh hey it's me, the other Elphelt! That was a fun set! I've gone hard on learning her more. Some really nice things I've discovered (most of which were already mentioned by you) are that 214S is only -2, so it's a really good tick throw, and 214H is 0 on block once you land (without meaty setups), so it's also a good tick throw. Combine that with the varying timing of 236 S/H and you get a very strong strike throw game! I look forward to seeing how she develops further. Also 10/10 scream!

I Like complex and technical characters, like my main Jack'o or Asuka, but this character is just GOOD to play with. I also care too much about designs, lore or personality, and she has everything. I hear she's already defeated Bridget/Johnny in terms of release traction and is behind Jack-o which is awesome. I really think the boost from the game awards, the 40% discount becoming 50%, and making her newcomer accessible really helped. That last one helped Baiken a lot too compared to Xrd, while in contrast Jack-O is the least played character due to her difficulty/feeling eccentric. Jack-O's design, combined with the Jack-O challenge is really what pushed her to the top, so she no less maximized her addition to the roster. I can't wait for GBVSR as well. Unfortunately the steam version won't be available until the 14th D: hopefully I haven't become a super villain by then.

what I like to do as a low punish is 2K 2D 214H 236H(on the air), and if the pistol hits, you have a free whole combo.

Also, if you slightly delay the 214H you can do an airdash j.D that's a safe jump that leads to a full combo.

You can interrupt the S rekka (the reset). She can't continue rekka after doing two lows and/or overheads in a row, or by ending on shotgun. Her only reset option is the slash kick option which can be jabbed or in some cases 6P'd.

look up The Fighting Game Glossary by Infil for all fgc terms across most games. DP = dragon punch, Ryu's invincible uppercut from Street Fighter. Waking up with an invincible attack usually beats most aggressive options, just not in Elphelt's case because it's too slow. Invincible attacks are usually also good anti-airs, but they can be air-blocked in Guilty Gear.

Well Elphelt being easy is just one of a laundry list of improvements they did with this character thankfully I can leave the other version where it belongs...in the past. (Do not look up the past version unless you want to see something borderline NSFW with other cringe attributes) Its great that they improved Ramlethal as well as I understand it her sister and she also stopped trying to destroy the world an extra bonus

practice those screams. Right now you are not even a one; you are a .6. You got to get the air from the belly. You aren't breathing in-- release from the diaphragm and aim for a key. From there work backward down the scale until you can hit a baritone without straining.
