I had a boyfriend from 18 to 21 and I relied on him for everything. Once we broke up at 21 I put my big girl pants got a job and forced myself to drive to work alone on the first day of work. The first time my heart pounded so hard after that i was so proud of the person I was.

when others are driving, look at the side-view mirrors and the rear-view mirror to practice looking at them constantly, it helped me focus more and learn how to be aware of everything going on around me. make sure you adjust the mirrors always to fit you separate from how the owner of the car may have them cuz everyone has their own sweet spot even if it may seem like how the mirrors are already adjusted are okay. you should be able to see ur car completely with all the mirrors in their correct angles

Girl, I am 22. I don’t have my permit or my liscense. I don’t know what your age is, but if I’m 22, (I’m sure there’s other people out in the world who are older than me who either aren’t ready to drive, who don’t want to drive, who don’t have their permit/liscense, or it’s their first time) point is, don’t compare yourself to others journeys or worry about being the last one. This is for everyone; everyone is on their own timeline..You will get there in your own timing. Don’t rush yourselves, don’t compare yourself. I know it’s easier said than done but we will all get there in our own timing/at our own pace! There is nothing to be ashamed of. Don’t get down on yourselves. Im 22. i feel like the best tips i have for driving are to just not like hesitate a lot while ur driving and like be super super aware and make sure your like glancing into all three mirrors a lot and it just takes practice but yeah

Practice driving at night so you can get comfortable with driving and then start driving in the day with more cars around you. Also practice switching lanes and looking at your mirrors also look at your blind spots😁

Omg, I just turned 17 and you reminded me last year when I was learning how to drive, I was very nervous too but what makes me pass my driver’s test with 100 points it was literally relax, if you’re so nervous you can cause an accident so just relax and always check your mirrors.

ok here’s my tip: I’m 17 and I remember the first time I drove and if you have anxiety it’s gets even more nerve wracking. But my tip is that when you are merging lanes, make sure to turn your head and see if there is a car next to you as cars do have blind spots. Yea ppl at the dmv make it seem so extra but trust me practice doing it and it will come in handy bc I’ve been close to crashing before 😭👨🏻‍🦯 also when you are behind a car, lets say at a light or stop sign, make sure there is plenty of room bw you and the car in front of you, at least to where you can still see the bottom of wheels a tip i and was told by my mom 💖🤌🏻 good luck learning

i’ve been driving for 2 years now & honestly driving is so fun because you get a sense of independency .. you get to go wherever you want & run errands on your own without relying on someone to take you!!! the only thing i can say is always be aware of the cars around you because some people drive hella crazy so just be careful around other people regardless of how good you drive!!

You’ll get the hang of it! I’m taking my test to get my license this week, but after a year of practice I definitely feel ready, and it’s not so scary anymore! I highly recommend taking a few lessons at a local driving school, they really help you feel confident on the road and to learn all the necessary technicalities of driving. After 3 lessons I was already driving on the highway, and I picked up how to drive very quickly. Anyways, I wish you luck on your adventures!

A way I got ready for the permit test was look up a practice test based in your state!! And it helped sm because the practice literally had everything that was going to be on the permit test, plus don’t worry it’s literally so easy

When I started driving, I was 18 and my mom tought me because I started working and it was hard for my mom to drive me everyday to work and pick me up, so-when I started driving if the speed limit is 40 I would go at that speed limit and if cars want to pass you just let them don’t worry once you have at least 6 months driving it will get more easier and always stay calm never get nervous and when you go to the store don’t park next to other cars until you feel more confortable.
