I think it's a good idea to know how to fall, because sometimes falling down can be very dangerous.

I use drag stop or t stop and when I'm just about to stop I turn 360.
@IsaacFNghost3 жыл бұрын
I didnt take falling seriously at all. I started like 3 weeks ago and a week ago my grounding foot slipped out hard and I fell with all my weight on my tail bone. It ROCKED me. Its still very sore. Im almost positive I fractured it. I've been very timid riding ever since. Trying to get my confidence back little by little. I agree with your comment whole heartedly now lol
@jcardin26 жыл бұрын
Best downhill brake is a simple full sized umbrella. I just hold it with one arm above my shoulder angled behind me. You won't wear down your wheels or burn through a heel brake in seconds and you can even brake on wet surfaces or bad roads. It's also no more cumbersome than carrying a selfie stick and can be "deployed" at any time. Just be careful at extremely high speed as the pullback will be so strong you could lose your balance if your not accustomed to it.

Great vid, I vote for slalom if you have enough time to setup, otherwise a controlled fall is better than an uncontrolled crash!

Best break is falling, I did once, and it went good I just hit on some wall and stop right always, with no protection, no scratches and I still alive. after that I took a break hahahahah you might let your smartphone or pc orphan if you die

Hahahaha I really thought that in order to brake I had to fall when going downhill to my job everytime... maaan you guys teased me.

Powersliding is a very good way to stop if you have a bit of experience. Parallel slide is probably the best if you have the confidence to do this at big speed. Easiest would probably be T-stop combined with slalom turning. NEVER do your first downhill on city streets!!! Find a freaking park with light inclines first. Downhills are no joke for beginners. Great vid! Make more clips :D!
@limeddie38648 жыл бұрын
for downhill, parallel slide is best.....if u master it :)

The best, is to know all the slides that exist. Then pick and practice the efficient ones. Parallel & magic are the 2 to kow and do.

I do downhill skateboarding and i can stop from 60kmh with no problem but rollerblades?? Seriously how do you bracke with 60,70,80 kmh? I can slide or footbrake and come to a full stop really quick. How do you do a full stop with 60 on rollerblades?

Going downhill with that Seba freestyle skates is a bad idea. the frame on those skates are really short you will wobble all the time when going fast downhill.
@infinitycrops10 жыл бұрын
If you're doing mach 1 and find yourself in an "abort situation" - definitely t-stop. You can put a ton of weight down and really come to a controlled stop. Will grid the wheels flat on one side, but definitely better than a really ugly crash.
@avalanchedownhill482610 жыл бұрын
infinitycrops We regularly use T-stop (as can also seen on our other videos). However it is not as effective as soul slide, ufo or the ugly crash. Sometimes a crash is inevitable.

Avalanche Downhill not next to cliffs for a start, trees also hurt, cars are also bad for you. parking lots are ideal if you have cones or chalk to practice stopping. As for effectiveness the power slide is by far the fastest but it requires a predictable surface. The t-stop is a go-to that should become your habitual stop if you don't have rubber brakes. the rest functions as a way to shave speed. I have yet to powerslide though so i speak from partial experience.
@avalanchedownhill482610 жыл бұрын
We have improved since this video. But not yet mastered the parallel powerslide yet...
