My gran used to laugh like that, that laugh once stopped a show that we went to watch. It was an English group called 'The Five Penny Piece', one member called George was very deadpan and when she started laughing he struggled to keep his composure and the more he spoke to her, the worse she got. Agreed, and counting his Netflix special of same theme. He's there in the moment, actively listens, and gives relevant comedic feedback. In all reality, he could partially or totally ditch a preset routine and just go ad lib interacting with audience members, and hecklers seem to be no issue to him, naturally.

Saw him in London last week and he was hilarious but JESUS I wish the crowd could have shut the hell up for 2 minutes to let him do his show. People shouting out every 5 seconds, interrupting him, sharing their life stories, it was so OTT. It got that bad that the rest of the crowd was literally groaning and putting their head in their hands. Matt dealt with it really well but he must have been getting so frustrated. Such a funny dude.
