I started acquiring Spanish in January 2022 using a method called Comprehensible Input. The idea is that you listen and watch simple videos in Spanish. The videos should be basic enough so that you understand most of what is happening even though you don't understand the words. Over time, the brain makes sense of the words and grammar. I plan to make a video every 100 hours to show my progress.
I am watching videos on Dreaming Spanish. There are playlists for beginner, intermediate and advanced.

I think the Juan Fernandez graded readers are excellent. I've now read all of them. They continue to get better as the level increases. Enjoy!

Having been where you are (ie. un anglohablante quien esta aprendiendo espanol), I would highly recommend you spend a considerable amount of time on the sounds of the letters/letter combinations in Spanish. That upfront work will payoff hugely if your goal is to sound close to a competent speaker.

@@tinynhhouse5467 That's great, looking forward to your future updates! Also, do you have a certain amount of input you'd like to get to before you are going to stop tracking your hours? If so, what amount would that be?

@@dxrklive8097 Thanks! I will probably still keep of my hours of CI until I reach 2,500 hours or until I achieve fluency, whichever comes first.

Sorry mate but you have spent 1200 hours and you can't speak basically. I spent just 350 hours of input in total and passed the DELE B2

@@tinynhhouse5467 I can't speak for the original commenter, but I think you'd benefit greatly from going through the FSI spanish basic course for a while. It'll force you to really hit proper pronunciation while beginning to speak at a more 'native pace' while also giving you native-speed comprehensible input as you work through the course. I'd say I'm around 400ish hours of comprehensible input and humbly a lot better at producing spanish and listening as well compared to what you've displayed at least in this short video. But at the end of the day, as long as you never quit, you'll get there. So you do as you wish.
