Great job Graeme, that yellow is a great colour for showing the effects of sigma, really enjoyed this series mate.

Thanks Dave!, really enjoyed this one myself and I’m glad I made it a series rather than cutting it down to a single video , just good honest fun 👌

Well I've said it once and I'll say it again. Well done on a great set of tutorials 👏👏 Garage Therapy products that you featured are great, so easy to use with great results too. They've definitely got their own shelf in my place. My only gripe (if you can call it that) is the glass cleaner takes ages to flash off when it's cold, especially when I use it at work to clean the soap residue left on the windows and mirrors from our truckwash. Two cloths sometimes helps though.

Thanks for your kind words mate , yeah the glass cleaner was designed to have a longer work time as when it’s warmer there’s more chance of leaving grease / grime behind with other cleaners , maybe not the best for winter but certainly 2 cloths does work really well, it’s one of my favourite glass cleaners

That 50/50 on the bonnet when applying sigma was great. Usually stand back and think it looks good after but rarely see such clear instant results.

I love that yellow colour on the Peugeot especially when it is prepared properly. Having used most of the GT range and love them all apart from the glass cleaner which I didn't get on with. I have not used them in a while but having run out of M & K QD I used some GT QD and it brought up my Jag's metallic paint to look like glass I will be using it again and might even use Sigma as a topper on some of my waxes going forward.

Thanks John!, I couldn’t believe how sigma changed the bonnet on application , such a lovely product to use , not as easy as QD but def brilliant products to use 👌

Bye the way I picked up my double loop drying towel and I have 2 of them that languish at the bottom of my towel box and dried the windows first then did the paint and what a revelation bone dry paint with one swipe. Thanks for the heads up. My only gripe with them is the size if I need to wring it out but didn't need to today so it might not be an issue and I do have 2 so I could do half the car with one and the other half with the other and have it on standby. @@GMDetails

@@johnbrown3951 love it !!! 😃 Yeah double sided twisted loops are a nightmare to dry off or even wring out, sometimes I give it a spin only in the washing machine and hang it to air dry

Nice little series there. Thanks for this. The first time i dried the windows (to wet the towel) before the rest of the car and realised how much better it was was a 'mind blown' experience. How can this be? A bit like when you learn not to wear anything under cycling shorts😂
@GMDetails
@GMDetails 11 ай бұрын
Ha ha I was listening to OJ Borg saying the same thing about cycling shorts and how much of a game changer it was 😅 It’s basically cause the dry towel has twisted loops and when the fibres are dry they’re prone to cause streaks or worst case scratch the clear coat because they’re quite firm , dampening them with glass (unable to scratch glass) softens the fibres and encourages them to soak more water , one thing tho , don’t use a drying aid with a drying towel as it’ll ruin it

Really good series, Graeme, thanks for uploading all them. GT Sigma, I do not get on with it, 3 different cars and I seem to get streaking, it's really frustrating, at least in my hands 😂. All the best bud. 👍
@GMDetails
@GMDetails 11 ай бұрын
Thanks Lee, I just don’t understand why you’re having streaking issues unless it’s the cloths you’re using , maybe using too plush I’m thinking 🤔
@decker0373
@decker0373 11 ай бұрын
@GMDetails I've genuinely vot no idea but no, I only use shirter pile cloths and a more plush one to buff, no different to what you did with the GT dual sided microfibre.... I'll try it again in the not to distant and see whether I cam make it work. In fairness, I struggled with the TW Hydrophobic Sealant too.... seems like I'm just pap at sealants 🤣😂
@GMDetails
@GMDetails 11 ай бұрын
@decker0373 could be the humidity at the end of the days detailing or possibly using too much product , try not to keep using the same buffing cloth all round the car , especially if it gets damp with removal

Hi mate, just a quick question as I’m buying the same pressure washer that do you use what size orifice is best for the karcher k5 ?

@@GMDetails just spoke to gleem detailing and they recommended 030 for the k5
@GMDetails
@GMDetails 9 ай бұрын
@@paulcowen1976 If you go for the 030 you’d need to be pretty sure it was exactly the correct one, sizes from Amazon and eBay etc may differ, proper ones from Carscope or MTM hydro would be better but pricey. I’ve just checked and I went for 040 and the real flow of the machine is like night and day, 030 now feels like there’s too much restriction and seems to increase pressure, its flow you want not pressure but if you want to chose 030 it’s your choice 👍
