I had the realisation that you can "memorize" pretty much every seemingly complex scale and arpeggio by breaking it down into a pattern of a few notes and transposing it down rather than drilling all the scale diagrams into your head. Then I found your channel, if it had been the other way around I think I would of progressed much faster. I can't believe the whole concept of chunking in this way isn't taught by everyone because it makes so much more sense.

This is the video that i've been looking for. Beginner Guitarist here. Argeggios were concept where I think I understand them but could.never really understand it in practical terms. This video has really opened my eyes. Will try getting a backing track and practice the 1, 3, 5 notes. Would it be good practice to try Argeggiate? over simple nursery rhymes?

I’m sure this is a dumb question but. For me to learn arpeggios all over the neck of the Guitar, wouldn’t I have to know the chords they come from as well as the notes of the chords? I hope this makes sense to you. Heck I hope it makes sense to me tomorrow when I’m not so tired. Thank you.

Well the great thing is you learn one chord, and the arpeggio will give you the notes for that one chord starting on any of the 12 notes.
