Excited to watch these, I just picked up sf6 a couple days ago and it’s my first time playing a fighting game since I played mvc2 when I was like 10 and had no clue what I was doing. Learning has been really fun but a good challenge at the same time. Cammy ended up feeling the most my style after messing around with the cast so it’s fun to see some solid gameplay. I really wanted to say thanks to ya Max for getting me interested in fighting games, glad I can enjoy them alongside final fantasy with you now!

I wanna play against Max’s Cammy right now. I’m not playing any character until I master Cammy. Also a quick note to all Cammy players: Canon spike can be used to evade your opponent’s drive impact simply because of how slow the startup is on drive impact is and how fast the startup is on Canon spike with an addition being that Cammy falls faster than the opponent leaving out of the drive impact state. I always use medium canon and it works for me.

Cammy's Lv2 is best comboed into after either doing b+MP > HK, Lv2, df+HK (H), fdf+HK, or something like d+HP, HP, DR, D+HP, HP, Lv2 (punish counter). If your opponet stays on the ground, you don't get a follow-up after the Lv2, but the damage usually makes up for it.

@@joshuagumbs5046 Hooligan always felt too reactable for a good mix. My main from Guilty Gear is Millia who has always been a mix/rushdown character which is one reason Cammy is my go to for SF. I just feel she should have at least one standing overhead as it's a common thing for the vast majority of fighting game characters to have.

The corner DI wall splat combo for Cammy is DI, df+LK (L. spiral arrow), fdf+HK (cannon spike) ~2068 dmg, You could also do HP, df+HK (H), Lv3 if you want to end for a Lv1/Lv3 super.

@@joshuwottdelta they are directions. F is forward, d= down, b would be back, but don't use that really with her. Df is also the same as 236+LK (L. spiral arrow) or 6236+HK (cannon spike) if your more familiar with these number directions.

"Df" is most often understood to be down and forward at the same time, rather than one after the other like in a hadouken motion. You'll see it a lot more often in 3D fighters, but SF has a few df command buttons as well (Blanka's df+HP is his ground slide, for example). If you want people to understand what moves you've written you have go with "d,df,f" (which is long and ugly af), qcf, or 236. It's not that it's "wrong" per se, but it's better to stick with already established stuff than constantly come up with new methods.

Ive got a question for all the fighting game enthusiasts here. Ive been watching Max for a few years now and ive been wondering now that SF6 has been out for a few weeks, if the game is good and how easy is it to get into the game as a complete fighting game noob. Ive been interestet in the game for a while now but im a little bit intimidated considering how much i have to learn about it. (I have played MK11 for a few hours but didnt have that much fun tbh) It would be nice if some of you guys could help me make my decission.

Yes, there is a lot to learn in a fighting game, combos, archetypes, punish, neutral, to the concept of the mental stack. It can be a lot of work. The most important thing is to accept that you can't learn everything all at once and to have fun during the learning process without putting pressure on yourself to progress quickly. SF6 isn't the most elitist fighting game, and you can even start with a character in modern control to lighten your training workload and make progress in real matches. The community is very large, and you won't have difficulty finding many players who are also beginners. So if you want to seize the opportunity, go for it!

After messing with Cammy, I felt she just didn't have enough tools available for me. It was hard to play tricky since jabs beat cross-ups, and hooligan's moves have such a long time before they come out. Thankfully Juri felt like a more diverse Cammy, making up for the lack of cross-up with resource burn and mix options on top of great normals and a really good dash. Also Feng-shui engine go burr. As a result though, a person needs to put a bit more work into learning her, on top of figuring out some things the game hides from you (unless it's in the character recommendation info, which I didn't check yet): 1. Her kick combination is not a Rekka, you just have to do a single quarter-circle forward and time the kick buttons to chain them 2. If you do her EX dive kick and do the follow up TOO FAST, the enemy will hit the ground before you can act and you'll drop the combo 3. her medium dp is better for anti-air and her heavy dp is better for following up a combo (sort of like Cammy's light and medium cannon spike)
