Foods made:
Tepsi kebab (trey kebab):
500g lamb (or beef) minced meat
1 onion
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
small chili peppers
3 potatoes
olive oil
Seasoning for the meat:
1 tbsp concentrated tomato puree
cumin
salt
black pepper
Chop the onions and mix it with minced meat and the seasoning and a bit of olive oil. Push the mix flat on a trey and add cut peppers on top of it. The last layer are round chopped potatoes. Top with oil and salt and put into the oven 200C for about 30 minutes.
Karniyarik (stuffed eggplant):
5 egg plants
500g lamb (or beef) minced meat
1 onion
2 garlic gloves
Seasoning for the meat:
1 tbsp concentrated tomato puree
cumin
salt
black pepper
For serving: tomatoes, parsley
Clean the eggplants and remove parts of the skin (this is where you'd fill them from afterwards). Fry them from all sides until soft. Fry the mix of seasoning and minced meat. Fill the eggplants and put them back into the pot. Add water and a little tomato paste and let them simmer under a lid for 30min. Serve with sliced tomatoes and parsley.

OMG, the funniest video ever 🤣🤣🤣 And the food was perfect, I am telling you. Especcially the ''karnıyarık'' was amazing. The thing is that it was too much, took 2 days to finish them all. But you guys have the mojo; they all tasted perfect, we loved it. So when you are tired of travelling you can probably open a Turkish Restaurant! I will be a regular 🤗

Hey Guys, This reminds me of all my Turkish friends houses and how the older ladies make you feel so very special as their guests. Always feeding you and making you feel welcome. This video was a joy to watch and I'm hoping that you will remain in Turkiye for more intimate vlogs like these. I for one will always follow you in Turkiye, as other countries lack the hospitality and interesting culture/history that my favourite country has to offer. Great to see you back.

Hey, Linda! Hope you are doing well 😊🙏. And also thank you so much for the kind words! The ladies were truly amazing and it really opened up a new side of the country for us. (you probably know that when visiting people here hospitality is such an important part that they don't usually want guests to help at all, but we are so glad that we got to learn a great deal this time 😁 Best wishes currently from Mersin 🤗

@@WildVikingTravels So happy that you are back in Turkiye, wish I was there too! You won't go wrong filming everyday life there because people are so kind and interesting. Everyone loves personal insider vlogs. I am sure for certain that Turkish families will embrace you and show you everything that you thought you already knew about the culture but there are surprises around every corner. Enjoy...🎅

Heyhey. I totally agree! Thanks to Turkish hospitality Turks usually want their guest just to sit and enjoy doing nothing, so this time we feel so lucky to have had this chance to truly emerge ourselves into the culture 😁🙏

Cutting onions is such a pain but I loled when you cried because of that. You can’t cook a nice meal without pain 😂 that’s why i cook onions, red pepper paste and tomato sauce once or twice a month to use it later for meals, it is easier to prepare one jar or two at once. 😂

Man, I would love to know many languages, starting with the European languages. They all fascinate me. I know some words and phrases in some, but that is it. This video was very fun to watch. I wish I could just be dropped into a country with a completely different language where I had no choice but to learn the language to communicate. So far I would to survive in Mexico, and the deaf community.
