HELLO THERE:
We are Joe and Liisu, relatively new to KZbin but really excited to be a part of this community. We live small and sustainably in my home on wheels (a lovely van called Freyja) and from time to time out of our backpacks (we have not named the backpacks yet). On this channel, we ask you to join us on our travel adventures off the beaten track where we show you the beauty of untouched nature and wander into places most tourists don't dare to go.

I've only been to Türkiye once, last year. It was for the wedding of English friends in İçmeler. I combined the trip, 3 weeks in total, with 5 nights in Istanbul. I met some lovely, warm & friendly people everywhere I visited, as well as a shed load of cats (who were also friendly). However, I'm still trying to work out the correlation between taking photos/shooting video of the beautiful architecture & someone thinking you want to buy a carpet... 😳😂😂😂

Well done Liisu you are brave indeed! Glad you updated us! I’m dying to go to Türkiye and I was wondering about this so definitely have shed some light on this in my case this is the exact thing that has put me off for years. As nice as it looks the hustle and bustle whilst on holidays is not for me I’d much rather rather discover the real culture food and people so thank you for this Take Care Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧

My intention is not to be racist, but many of these people are Kurds from the southeast of Turkey. We have many Kurdish citizens who are loyal to our country and we love those who are loyal to their country. However, it can be observed that money is flowing from Alanya to terrorist organizations such as the PKK. Alanya was definitely not a place like this in the past. It has now been taken over by Kurdish mafias and this problem is still a problem in Turkey. I'm sure it will be resolved soon. All the people who disturbed you in this video were Kurds. You can understand the difference like this, the person named Selçuk in the video was a Turk.

Side Belek and Kemer are only for resort vacation. If you do some sightseeing and enjoy sea without getting out from hotels, do that.

It's a good idea to broach the subject of mass tourism in one of your vlogs, as it's an important aspect of travel, that is not often talked about, we enjoyed it, thank you very much ❤

If these luxury hotels had proper pricing policies, the entire situation could be different. An excessively luxurious vacation in one of the most beautiful locations in the entire Mediterranean shouldn't be priced at $100; such a foolish understanding of competition, I have never encountered elsewhere. These resorts have severely misinterpreted capitalism.

ٰOur bad experience in Turkey was that when we went to a restaurant the waiter stood over us the whole time and completely disrupted our private gathering. Moreover, they did not look at their own girls, who were prettier and less dressed, but they stared at the tourist girls.

With so many All Inclusive Hotels in the area it must be difficult for local Turks to make a living in the area unless they are working in the hotels. Most tourists will eat and drink in their hotels and only visit the local area occasionally during their visit. Maybe that goes someway to explain why the local Turks are so pushy - its probably out of necessity to make a living.

They are just too pushy. There is no justification. Go there and experience yourself. They are only one step shy of pulling you from your arm to their stores. Most shameless store workers are not the locals of the region though. Most of them are immigrants from east of Turkey.

I can definitely confirm what Salman said. These are immigrants from the southeast. The only Turk in the video was a person named Selçuk. Immigrants from the Southeast have become like mafia in Alanya. Let me explain more clearly, these are Kurds from the southeast and generally not Kurds who feel connected to Turkey. That's why sometimes this problem enters the country's agenda. I think this will be resolved in a few years
