i thought if your touchdown point was below your instrument console (i.e. move down on the windshield) you'd be steep, not shallow? And if touchdown point was above the trimstrings, then that would mean you're getting shallow, not steep?

Yes this is an R44 Clipper, little bit different than the 22, bit longer and bit faster 😀

In many ways, yes. The main thing you notice in patterns is the effect of the hydraulics on your cyclic and collective inputs when compared to the R22 and simply just how much faster you climb and gain airspeed in forward flight. Opposite to this is how much harder it can be to slow down on approach and descend when you are light so definitely something to watch out for too.
