I'm autistic, and I'm still socially aware enough to figure out that it's a bad idea to grab people. Although, I don't think it's too unusual for someone to tap someone on the shoulder to get their attention. That sends a completely different message than grabbing someone. Grabbing someone is very aggressive. If someone grabbed me, they would probably get their arm broken. But tapping me on the shoulder would just cause me to turn around to see what they wanted.
