I got used to sniping in bf1 within an hour , it was a game on Suez , conquest and i was using the smle marksman and i went 36-12, the second game was on Giants shadow and i went 43-11 (conquest smle) and then i decided to get my scout rank up to lvl 10 and started to try the M1903 and G98 since they were the most iconic rifles and best for my playstyle and i tried the oil of empires operation and went on a 34 killstreak with 3 deaths on Fao then 67-24 on suez and 58-19 on the desert map (Can't spell it off my head) and i ranked up 3 lvls on the scout class and to this day I have over 670,000 scout score since late February.

That clip just after 10:00 is fantastic 😂...I love your videos because you're always positive for everyone, and you share your knowledge of the game and the classes you play. I feel like I can almost always learn at least one thing from each of your videos that I watch. I found you because I wanted to learn how to better myself as the scout class on BF1(not just for my KD, but to help each objective and the team), I've never had any other fps other than Halo(which I love). I've always been interested in precision shooting in real life, so I thought maybe that's what I should do in in this video game, and I love it. I found that I can play any of the other classes fairly well, but I enjoy getting those precisely placed headshots, idk it just seems like a more difficult thing to do, so I feel like I've accomplished more than if I just run into a room with say an lmg or a shotgun...love these videos, glad I subscribed, keep doing you...cheers mate!

Got into the PERFECT game of operations on Oil of Empires the other day. I've been messing around with the m1903 sniper variant for a while and thought I'll practice with it more. Never been one for long range sniping, my favourite weapons were the SMLE Infantry and the Martini Henry. But I thought I'll give it another go. I was using the 8x scope with the post reticle (based off of one your recommendations actually) and I was shocked at how much I liked it. I was getting headshot after headshot trying to keep the other snipers off our back allowing the rest of my team to just steam roll. We ended up taking every sector on all three maps without losing not one attack. I think my longest headshot was just above 290 m (I know that sucks but I'm happy). I never just sat back like that and not PTFO before but I went 39-5 and ended up 5th on the leader board just from flag defends and kills alone. I just have to say watching your tips and tricks vids really helped me a lot. Thanks man, and keep on doing what you're doing.

Some great points in this video. I would like to add that sniping is cool and all but also keep in mind that not all maps require a snipers. Pay attention to how many snipers are on your team make adjustments as needed.

Good advice AvgSniper!!! It's nice to try and emulate others, but there is nothing like being yourself. I am an aggressive player and fell in love w/ sniping because it goes against everything I do naturally. It's a challenge and rewarding bcuz of it.

Good call, I actually started sniping after watching one of your videos. It is very satisfying sniping with the 1895 but I was ripping it up as a Medic previous to switching. Went from 20-30 kills a game to 10-15.

Another great video mate! Nice explanation about choices and styles. Myself went for the smle infantery and stuck with it. Going for the 12th service medal and went above 1.15 kd. Most conquest games go around 25/30 kills and less than 10 deaths. Next to that I really like the Russian to, mainly for headshots ^^. Thanks for the content, I keep watchen and following you on yt.

he couldn't have explained this any better, I switched from cod to bf when bf3 released and I'll say I was pretty good at quickscoping in cod. of course I thought I was gonna pick up bf and smash people until I was the one getting smashed.. it takes a REALLY long time to get sniping down in battlefield in general, not just bf1. so to all you new players, just stay with it you'll adjust to it slowly, just don't think you're gonna turn into a sniping god overnight

Sniping clicked for me after you r tips. I was chilling on Ballroom Blitz and went 33-2 on the Russian 1895 sniper. Then monte grappa with 67- 19. Now I average a 60-15 game

when it comes to 'quickscoping' i have a different definition of it then probably most do. I just try to scope in and put the cross-hairs on the person as quickly as i can and as accurate as i can. but it just depends on the situation im in as well. and i love sniping. i can remember playing Halo CE for the first time and that all i wanted to do. I never get bored playing with a sniper. im absolutely horrible playing up close, but i dont play very well being super far away either.

totally agree. Im cod 2 sniper professional, but its about 10 years old game. and in cod2 i was quickscooper, in bqttlefield, Im rly good at sniping, but i suck at quickscoping, Im getting into it a bit and slowly in getting better, but it takes lot of time, already about 200 hours played and i still miss some shots. One more thing to say, i was always trying to quickzoom with snipe cuz i saw stodeh doing it, but as average snuper said "if somebody can doesnt mean u can too".. than i tried russian 1895 infantry and it fits to me so well, that i dont even wanna play snipers again

Nice buddy, I snipe loads, I have different snipers for different maps. Also different modes. I'm loving the Gwhere .95 infantry on hard mode, it's a beast! The 95, m1903 and smle marksman all have there place at the beginning of a conquest game depending where you want to be in the action. Great play as per usual, I might dust of the Russian and give it a go.

That's what I've learned, The game feels so different when your assault to support/scout, I've gotten to where I'm going positive using scout but I still get my big games thru assault/support. just had to accept it lol n that I believe is because before bf1 If never sniped in any game. just run n gun

perfect explenation play your own style and dont copy. only copy the things who worked for your playstile. i see a lot of people who instead copy the style of the new video from her or his fav ytber. and then they sucked with the copy style. listen to average in this video its a big major mistake that some people do and then they lost the fun - and thats bad for us all becouse when u lost fun in the game u do quit the game or play very seldom;)

Hey The Average Sniper! Great videos, love all of your content and really agree with everything you were saying about why you snipe in this video. I was just watching mainly your play here on Monte Grappa and I just had a question about how you generally engage here. This is by far my favorite map on the game mainly because all classes can shine here and because of its versatility, I was curious if you generally camp and long range snipe here or play on the move more particularly on top of the mountain where the bunker is? I've had decent games here but at times I get caught between going closer with a SMLE Inf/Martini-Henry or going long range with the Russian/Gewehr 98 Snipers. My best range is around 65-120 maybe 150s if I'm really feeling it that day, just as a frame of reference for you. Just curious your thoughts on this, love your videos!

I used to be fairly decent at iron sight sniping with my trusted Martini-Henry sometimes at even sniper scope ranges...back before the patch of course. After that bullshit patch, I had to try and pick up a new rifle...and just cant seem to do it as well. ;-;

this is a noob question but how can u tell where the enemy is from such a far distance? is it just experience that u know where enemy will emerge from or is there a way to tell on the mini map or hud?

Minimap is pretty much for close range. You just have to pay attention to which objectives are captured (Conquest) or which side you are on (Operations) and you will get a better idea of where to expect the enemies to be coming from.

there are key spots on every map where people tend to hang around because those spots gives them good visión or are easy to defend. besides this, youll find enemies near the objective your team es atacking. just keep playing and at some point you will aquire this map knowledge.

Yeah. Stop playing big maps. JK JK! LOL! I don't know if this will help or not but on big maps like these I simply try to avoid big open spaces. I move from cover to cover and take out anyone who dares run out into the open. Play close to the objective but not tooooo close unless your team needs some help defending or attacking.

So yesterday I had the weirdest glitch. Every time I switched to my knowledge bullets it would instead give me half a Russian 1895 with no scope! The whole front of the barrel was missing... It stopped after about eight matches but it was weird.
