Recommended that injected live-attenuated vaccines such as measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), measles-mumps-rubella-varicella should be deferred for a period of time (3 months) after transfusion of red blood cells Because of passive transfer of immunoglobulin (IgG) in the transfused blood product to affect the immune response to the vaccine But in cases of Thalassemia major, as regular transfusion is required, vaccines should be given as NIP schedule

Mr. Rahul If serial measurements r suggesting that it is progressive then surgery is indicated. Otherwise brain development will be affected.
